Swimming pool- located on the same floor. Taman Kota Laksamana is 2-3km away. You can get fresh produce such as fish balls, fish cakes, noodles, seafood, and cook it in your unit. My humble opinion- guidelines for check-in could have been sent a few hours earlier or 6 hours before check-in. I had difficulty to read the steps indicated in PDF while driving. I received it at 13.47. Also please be responsive to calls. No one pick up the call and reply to our messages sent through WhatsApp ."

I really loved staying here! The staff were friendly, helpful, and attentive. 👍🏻 I forgot to request room decorations for our anniversary in advance, but fortunately, the staff were kind enough to accommodate my request. They surprised us with simple decorations and a complimentary cake, which made our special day even happier and more memorable. 🥰🎂 A special shout-out to Ms Ima, Ms Izza, Ms Aisha & Ms Betty for your great service. 👏🏼👏🏼 Your kindness truly means a lot to us. The room was spacious and clean, and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. We also loved the view! We were lucky enough to enjoy views of the town, the sea, and the surrounding Klebang area. 🌊✨ Lastly, I really loved the breafast options & taste, it was variety and good quality of food 😍 I would definitely stay here again and recommend this place to others. Overall, I’m very satisfied with my stay. ❤️

Room is spacious. Cleaniness is good, just that it's an old hotel. Basin tap need replacement. The nozzle attachment is missing. Turn on too big the water splash everywhere. Shower head need replacement, leaking when turn on from the sides. Top shower head holder require replacement or at least tighten. Room1837. Aircon is good. Takes awhile to reach the settings though. But nothing to complain about. Bed is comfortable. Bedsheets has some minor stains. Nothing disgusting. There is one thing to take note. Request for city view instead of sea view. The outside glass is not clean, full of stains. Could be due to the renovation site next to the hotel. If you want to rest during the day. Avoid sea view. The construction noise level is too loud to have proper rest.

Overall, my stay was quite good, and the location is excellent ✨. However, there are a few areas where hygiene could be improved. I noticed a clear yellow stain in the toilet upon check-in, and I hope the hotel pays more attention to cleanliness. Additionally, I had the 'please clean my room' sign on, but when I returned, I found that the staff had placed my pajama pants on a damp small towel, and the old towels hadn't been removed. While I understand placing clean towels on the bed, I found it hard to accept that the foot mat and new clean towels were placed together. I hope the hotel can improve staff awareness regarding hygiene when handling towels and guest belongings. Despite these minor issues, I would still be willing to stay here again in the future. I hope the hotel can enhance its cleaning and hygiene management; I believe the overall experience would be even better. ✨

Overall, I really liked this hotel with its strong Nanyang (Southeast Asian) charm. From the exterior to the room decor, everything felt great. It's within walking distance to attractions and close to the TBS bus station, just a fifteen-minute drive away. However, there were a few things I wasn't happy about: 1. I didn't realize beforehand that breakfast here is à la carte and only starts at 7:00 AM. It also takes a while for the food to be prepared. Since we had already booked our bus back to Kuala Lumpur for 9:00 AM, there was no time to eat. It was a shame, and we couldn't get a refund either. The staff kindly packed two boxes of bread for us, but for a breakfast costing several hundred for four people, it wasn't worth it. If you want to enjoy breakfast properly, definitely plan your time carefully. 2. We were three adults and one child, but we were required to book two rooms. Even though the rooms were spacious, we couldn't add an extra bed. 3. The soundproofing in the rooms was very poor. We could clearly hear our neighbors showering and flushing the toilet at night, and it was quite noisy. 4. We were charged 600 RMB for the two rooms upon check-in. I paid with a credit card, but upon check-out, I was told the refund would take 15 business days to be credited back to my account. That's quite annoying.

The hotel's location is great, right by the sea. It's a ten-minute walk north to the cruise terminal and Dutch Square, and then across the river to Jonker Street. Heading south along the coast takes you to the Straits Mosque. The rooms are quite spacious, and the facilities and cleanliness are very good. The breakfast is extensive, and all the food stalls are run by Chinese chefs. The afternoon tea is excellent value for money (45 MYR for two people). The staff are all very friendly, and one person at the front desk speaks Chinese.

This hotel definitely has a lot of character. Let's start with the positives: the lobby is absolutely stunning, steeped in history, and truly a sight to behold. The breakfast was also a highlight, offering a great selection of unique fruits and dishes. The dining area itself was comfortable, cozy, and elegant, making you feel like you're dining in a historical masterpiece. Now for the downsides: the hotel is quite old, and the facilities and equipment are showing their age. The bedding was also not up to par; the duvet in our room was stained with what looked like blood, and we had to call someone to replace it. The soundproofing in the rooms is poor. While being on Jonker Street is convenient for exploring, it also means traffic jams every time a vehicle tries to enter, making getting in and out a bit of a hassle. If you prioritize unique character and historical charm, this hotel might be for you. However, if quality and attention to detail are your main concerns, I'd suggest looking elsewhere.

The atmosphere is calm and ideal for healing. Not crowded at all. The buggy service is very quick to pick up guests from their rooms. The mini zoo package is a bit pricey, but the tour guide uncle was very engaging and informative. He shared a lot of knowledge. Breakfast was only a partial à la carte and buffet, perhaps because there weren't many guests, so there wasn't a wide choice of food. In room 3020, there was a leakage in the shower between the shaft and the ceiling. The pantry floor felt a bit fragile and not 'solid', which could potentially cause injury. Overall, everything else was fine.

*Great stay at Casa Del Rio!* We had a wonderful time here. Upon arrival, Ms. Nana at the reservation counter was so helpful and arranged connecting rooms for our family without any hassle. The rooms aren’t big, but they’re clean, comfortable, and very convenient for a family stay. The staff throughout the hotel were polite and attentive, and the location couldn’t be better – everything is within walking distance to Melaka’s main tourist attractions. We’ll definitely recommend Casa Del Rio to friends and family visiting Melaka. Thank you for making our stay comfortable and easy! 🤗

The room was a good size and the bed was extremely comfortable. Had basic essentials which was good. However the stains in the room and towels were not good at all. The staff - the ladies at reception were warm and kind and happy to help but the man who dealt with us too was obnoxious and seemed to hate his job. The gym man was friendly though. The gym although small had great equipment- perfect. Location, a little out of the centre but a quick 20 min walk. Lots of shops and restaurants outside hotel though.
