Jurong snow city in Singapore
We got free tickets and were transported back to a run-down attraction that seemed suitable for the early 1990s. The decor was dated, and the whole place looks suitable for “urbex” where people go to abandoned places to take photos.
There were Christmas trees, lights, and decor that looked like they had been there for the past 20 years. The “snow” is yellow sandy ice, and the wind chill machine is not working. The ice sculptures are half melted, causing the mermaid to half a sharp pointed arm, the swan to be neckless, and the ice teddy bear that looks like it’s part of a horror story.
You are not allowed to take photos inside, which is just as well, so nobody has photographic evidence of what the inside looks like. They try to sell you souvenir photos like 3 hard copies + soft copies for $50 or something.
I think this place is surviving and supported by the science centre next door.
We should have forgone our free tickets and taken a nap at home instead. Zzzz.
