Fortification ruins with good view of Yunque
There are cannon and guard towers in the wall remnants of this old fort with a good view of the water and of El Yunque, a mountain shaped like an anvil. Wonderful photo opportunities.
When I visited, I was allowed free entry as the exhibit/museum section was closed for repairs. It’s nice enough to wander around the grounds and look over the wall, but it isn’t very big so only takes...
Unfortunately under renovation at the point of my visit
At the point of my visit, the museum hosted in the Fuerte Matachin was unfortunately under renovation. Luckily, the guard let us enter the outer wall and have a walk around. It wasn't very spectacular...

quite small place & a bit far from town but ok for visit although not so many stuff remain here but still keeping the wall & fort.
