Nice forest ramble
A lovely walk through the forest. Very peaceful and beautiful woodland- but don’t expect any significant citadel remains. Go for the beautiful warm in nature- no more, no less
It is a park along National Highway No. 16, and it is a park that I have always been interested in every time I pass in front of it. I walked from Katakura station, but there was also a free parking lot. There was a sculpture plaza at the entrance on the parking lot side, and Sumiyoshi-numa was behind it. This place was selected as one of the 57 best springs in Tokyo, so there were many ponds besides Sumiyoshi-numa. As you climb the slope, you will find the remains of Ninomaru in the large lawn square and the remains of Honmaru connected by the main bridge. There is a hollow moat on the way, so it is a medieval castle ruin ...
I came to see the katakura flower community at Suekatakura Castle Ruins Park when I was wondering where to go due to the cancellation of the emergency. I think Katakura Castle Ruins Park is the northern flower and blooms in the southest part of Kanto. It is a plain flower, but it has a lovely feeling of health. Seeing the flowers of the cypress, I felt refrained from being depressed.
The place you climbed is a square, and you can enjoy the lunch box you bring while watching the cherry blossoms. Especially, the time of katakuri is recommended.
Yesterday, after a cherry blossom viewing banquet at Katakura Tsudoi no Mori Park with Yamatomo and others, I walked about 300m here where I can see the cherry blossoms properly. There was a giant cherry blossom tree in full bloom, and it was gorgeous.

A park built on the ruins of a medieval castle

I recommend the time of the caterpillar.
