It's also the name of a nearby inn.

As the name suggests, a spot with Cretaceous stratum. It is also certified as a geopark. It seems that fossils will come out if you dig the stratum from the Cretaceous name, but when you look at it, there is only a fossil of shellfish, and there is no fossil of dinosaurs (?) That the children expected. There is an inn named after this Cretaceous inn in the immediate vicinity. I thought it was a spot suitable for looking at the sea rather than fossils.
When I was running along the coast, the rocks were shaved in the same direction, so I stopped by. The signboard of the geopark was also standing, so I was able to learn more.
The hotel may have been named, but the Cretaceous stratum here is famous. It will be irresistible for those who are interested. Personally, I felt nature, but it was close to the sea and it was more interesting to catch crabs and hermit crab. Don't fall off the cliff!
A drive trip from Ibaraki Prefecture to Fukushima Prefecture. After visiting Oarai Isomae Shrine, run along the coastline toward Sake Line Isomae Shrine, and Oarai Kaigan Park will spread out along the sea. There is a free parking lot along the road. The number of units can be stopped quite a bit. It was rainy season, so the rain was terrible and the view was disappointing. It would be great if the summer weather was nice.
I was attracted to the name and went to see it. It seems that reverse-rolled ammonites are also available because it is a medieval Cretaceous stratum. The bedrock is diagonally tilted, and it has an atmosphere like a demon washing rock in Miyazaki Prefecture. There were a lot of families and it seemed to be playing with something. It felt like a spot suitable for playing on the rocky shore rather than visiting for sightseeing, but the sea around here has a lot of rocks and masculine beauty, so I stopped by for a drive or ground ...
