The Chicken Ming Church on Mount Zion, also known as "Peter Chicken Ming Church", is another famous church in Jerusalem. The name here comes from a story recorded in the Bible: When Roman soldiers came to arrest Jesus, Peter denied his relationship with Jesus three times. Due to the historical background and turbulence of Jerusalem itself, the Jiming Hall has undergone several reconstructions. However, part of the mountain road behind Jiming Hall is circled. It can be seen that the mountain road has been very dilapidated due to the passage of time. However, according to research, it was after the Last Supper. Jesus once walked along this road to Tin An Shan prayed to God for his courage.
Jiming Church Roman Catholic Church (pictures 1 to 8) The church was built to commemorate Peter's denial of Jesus three times before the rooster crows twice. The inner frescoes in the church are exquisite, especially the dome is exquisite. A stop on the Wailing Wall (Western Wall), the first holy place for Jews. Traditional Jews and pilgrims (tourists) from all over the world prayed to God and wrote their wishes into a piece of paper.
The Jiming Hall is divided into three floors. Because it is built on the hillside and faces east, the side of the church is on the second floor, and the side facing the Mount of Olives is on the third floor. The walls of the church are covered with figures from the Bible. Images of Jesus, the Virgin Mary, and God, Jehovah are all printed on the murals.
The Church of the Roman Catholic Church, on the east slope of Mount Zion outside Jerusalem, is built in memory of Peter's three denials before the cock crowed twice. The story takes place one day before Jesus was arrested, and he tells Peter, in order not to impress his disciples or his followers, that if someone asks you about knowing Jesus twice before tomorrow's cock crows, Peter, you say you don't know Jesus, and something Jesus said in advance happened. The Chicken-Ming Hall was then the residence of Caiaphas, the high priest. It is said that Jesus was taken here and kept in the basement after being arrested at the Garden of Kesey-Marie, opposite the Mount of Olives. A Byzantine chapel was built around 457, but destroyed by Muslim invaders around 1010. Then, when the Crusaders arrived in 1102, the chapel was rebuilt and the name of the "chicken mingtang" was used. After falling behind Jerusalem, it was again reduced to rubble, and was rebuilt in 1931 as a lively tourist attraction and a pilgrimage site for believers.
Jesus was arrested the day, already had a feeling, to Peter, you will be three times before the rooster crows to deny the knowledge of me. Jesus was later arrested, Peter to self-preservation, indeed three times denied the knowledge of Jesus. In the basement of the church, Jesus was said to have been held here for a while on the day of his arrest and then taken to the Roman governor.
