All Hallows by the Tower

Every time you visit the Tower Bridge, you will stop by to visit the Tower Bridge in less than three minutes, more than 1,300 years of history, the oldest church in London. Although the historical church is small in size, it has high historical value and is free to visit.

We stumbled upon this old church on our way to the Tower of London. It was free and quiet, with a museum underground. If you are around, you can come and visit it.

Halloween Church (All Hallows by the Tower), built in 675 AD, is too old. The church still retains the arches of the Saxon church (second photo), and in the basement below the arch there is a Roman-era walking path (third photo is the starting point of the walking path), a relics of the second century AD. Founded in 1926, it proved that this place was a great place for urban life more than 2,000 years ago. William Pan, the founder of Pennsylvania, was baptized at the church. In 1797, John Quincy Adams, the sixth president of the United States, was also married at the church.

Most visitors to London go to the Tower of London. If they have time, they can also go to the Halloween Church. History begins in 670 B.C. It has not only picturesque scenery, but also enough ancient souvenirs. In the basement, there are some Roman roads, Gaul pottery and very ancient parish records.

The Halloween Church is totally ignored by tourists, but its history is related to the tower, because it is the place where some executed prisoners are taken away and buried, but in the basement it is Roman ruins and relics, as well as Saxons, and most importantly free.
