It's like a necessity when you are a first time visitor of this beautiful city. ‼️Tip Take a photo before you cross the bridge so you will see the entire beauty of The London Eye. This was our mistake, we crossed the bridge first so then we only took got to snap photos of its back. The best view of it is across the river where the Big Ben and the houses of parliament are. I managed to take a photo of its front on a different day but the weather wasn't cooperative so I just quickly took a snap. We didn't have time to go onto the london eye but if you have a lot of time in London and if you have booked a reservation then enjoy it and see the city from the most famous ferris wheel in the world. I think you will have 30 minutes for this experience. Prices differ from where you buy your ticket and what time of the day you are going. We have a favourite bench, just opposite the London Eye on the other side of the river and often go there to sit and enjoy the views. You can easily reach this attraction by tube, train or bus and there are a few more places to see around such as the Palace of Westminster, Westminster Abbey, Trafalgar Square and more. I really think it is a good value for money while aboard the boat. Amazing views to be seen while you sail down the river! Throughout the comfortable cruise, with live commentary, you'll see famous landmarks such as St Paul's Cathedral, the Houses of Parliament, the Tower of London, HMS Belfast, Shakespeare's Ring, Tate Modern and London's Millennium Bridge . Over all, I really enjoyed it, the conductor was a little funny, as well as giving a tour guide of the famous buildings. The boat went a little down the Thames then up before returning to the dock. The trip lasted about 45 minutes. It was not early but still managed to get a seat at the top. Apart from that it's always nice to go on a sunny day. Highly recommended.

We had booked our tickets in advance and had to queue for a short while before we could enter one of the pods. There are a variety of tickets you can book - we just got the standard ticket allowing an entry to London Eye. You can also get combi tickets, for example London Eye + River Cruise, London Eye + Madame Tussauds London, London Eye + Madame Tussauds + SEA LIFE London and so on. The more things you combine, the better the price per attraction, so definitely look into this as well.
