Longmendong Sceneic Area

Longmendong Scenic Area is located in Qinglongchang Village, Longmen Township, Lushan County, Ya'an City, Sichuan Province. It is now a national scenic spot. Longmen Cave Group is the largest cave group found in China, with a "wall tower funnel", a long diameter of 6 kilometers, a short diameter of 2 kilometers, a depth of 800 meters, and a ridge of 1770 meters above sea level. It is rare in the world. The tower funnel was formed during the Cretaceous period 16 million years ago, and was formed by rainwater and groundwater washing underground soluble rock formations.
