Muscat's Kabbs Sultan Mosque, not far from the international airport, is the largest mosque in the country. The overall style is in line with the low-key characteristics of the country, simple but solemn, and not the same style as the Abu Dhabi Sheikh Zeid Mosque.

[Muscat Sultan's Palace] قصر العلم Alam Palace is the palace in the old town of Muscat, the capital of Oman, and is one of the six palaces of Oman Sultan. The palace, which has been in history for more than 200 years, was first built by Sultan bin Ahmed, and was built in 1972 in gold and blue fronts. The palace is not open to the public and visitors can only take pictures at the door. The Sultan of Oman used the palace as a place to receive dignitaries and hold ceremonies. For example, in 2012, Sultan Qaboos Ben Said received Queen Beatrice of the Netherlands here. Address: JH8V+9V8, Muscat, Oman Transportation: Bus Line 4 to "Al Alam palace"

ABDEL SAMAD
Well maintained private museum in Oman, you will get to know a lot about the Omani culture when you visit here, place is very clean and well organised. Ticket price is 3.2 OMR. There is also a cafe and restaurant in the museum premise. Staff is really friendly. When I went place was really empty with just few other tourists.

Musandam is a mountainous Oman Peninsula stretching out into the Strait of Hormuz, the United Arab Emirates separates from the rest of Oman. Its uneven coastline has fjord-like entrances and its waters are home to dolphins and other marine life. The sloop is a popular activity. Hayseb is the capital of the local Musandeem Peninsula, located on the south bank of the Strait of Hormuz, at the mouth of the Persian Gulf. It was built by the Portuguese in the 17th century on a natural port to avoid the waves. The area, also known as the "Norway of the Arabian Peninsula", is due to its rugged, glacier-like coastline, its towering mountains and clear, bright fjords.

The two fortresses were built by the Portuguese in the 1580s and occupy the eastern end of the seaport of Mutla. For military purposes, the Portuguese built several fortresses on geological formations and tactical positions in the ophile hills, such as Fort Jalali, Fort Minari and Fort Matra, to monitor enemy invasions. The forts are the only link between Muscat in previous years and Muscat now, and play a pivotal role in Oman's past. These forts serve as a window into important history, which helped to build and create cultures and traditions that ultimately produced the Oman we know today.
