Interesting Spot with Great Walki g Tracks
Very interesting site, with lovely walks around and access to the beach. Unfortunately the site was vandalised and hadn’t been cleaned up yet. This is apart of our history.

A day spent exploring the history of 1770. This being the Point where Captain Cook first set foot in Qld. Lovely walking tracks overlook the bays.

His landing is controversial these days, it's not celebrated like it once was. But Cook has to be admired for the fact that he left the safety of his home and explored unknown territory... unknown for...
A nice memorial
The Cook Lookout was where James Cook landed on 24 May 1770 and the monument was erected in 1926. It is basically a mound of stones and a good photo stop.
