Fanyin Temple

The original site is located in Zhongxingmen on the north bank of the Grand Canal. It was built in the early Qing Dynasty and was formerly known as Guanyin Nunnery. It covers an area of about 1 mu and is a cultural scenic tourist area. During the "Cultural Revolution", there were only four rooms left in the nunnery, and Master Wan Yu lived there. In 1990, the nunnery was presided over by the Shengyi Master of Yangzhou Zituolin. The number of believers increased and the Dharma music became more popular. In the spring of 1992, Mr. Chen Huijian, a native of Taiwan, returned to his hometown to visit relatives. His youngest grandson, Hanqing, came to visit the Buddha in the nunnery. Seeing the emotion, after returning, he wrote an article and published it in the poem "Dragon Tree Harvesting and Living", which he created to advocate for the public in Taiwan. , donated more than 70,000 US dollars to sponsor the reconstruction of Guanyin Nunnery. Since then, in January 1993, within the jurisdiction of the original cotton plantation area on the south bank of the Yellow River and Siyang, a clean land of 2 mu and 6 points was selected as the place for reconstruction. In August, the construction was undertaken by the sixth team of Huaijian Company, under the supervision of Mr. Huijian's eldest son, Aiqun. The project was completed by the end of May of the following year, and it is now 60 kilometers away from the urban area of Suqian. There is a Jishan Gate, Daxiong Hall, Ksitigarbha Hall, dormitories on both sides, a total of 21 halls and kitchens, and the hall covers an area of more than 500 square meters. Inside, there are Buddhas, Bodhisattvas and Holy Buddhas such as Sakyamuni, musicians, Mituo, Guanyin, Ksitigarbha, etc. Nine statues, bells and drums, instruments, etc. in the temple. Since then, the twilight drums and the morning bells, the Baoding Xiangyun, the green pines and green cypresses, and the Qionghua Yaocao in the courtyard are really a scenic spot for admiration.
