Mount St. Helens is still an active volcano, 40 years after the latest eruption. It is also a tourist attraction. Especially attracting many skiers to come here to ski in winter.
The mountain is not as high as we thought it was, but the volcano is very beautiful, years from the last eruption. You can see the mountain on the plane as you are about to arrive in Seattle
Mount St. Helens is not big, visited the Johnston Ridge Observatory, the most recent eruption was in 1980, and there is now a memorial to the disaster.
