Nice view.

If you walk along the path in the back of the temple called Shogenji, you will reach the ruins of Matsuoka Castle. Currently, there is no ruins of the castle, but it is on a hill and is a scenic place. The townscape spreads under your eyes, and behind it is a high mountain 々 lined up.
A breeze blows on the castle site and a cherry tree

I took a walk while seeing the cherry blossoms at Shogenji Temple, and it was a very pleasant place. It is a terrace with a strong trace of the moat of Matsuoka Castle. The altitude is about 500 meters. Honmaru side = If you go to the tip, you can overlook the Tenryu River and Ichida below and the Southern Alps in front. There is a cherry blossom beside the bench at such a tip, which is very picturesque.
It is a place overlooking the Tenryu River and the Ina Mountains from the top of the terrace. You can get a panoramic view of Iida and you can see the state of the Tenryu River. I think it's very beautiful at dusk. When you come to Shogenji Temple, you will cross the moat as it is.
A castle that makes the best use of the topography. The view of the Tenryu River, Shimoina no Sato, and the mountains 々 on the opposite bank is wonderful. A place suitable for the castle of the ruler of this medieval area.
I stopped by when I visited the land related to Naotora II and visited Ina Valley in Shinshu. Like a medieval castle, there are several empty moats left, and from the main enclosure facing the terrace, you can see the magnificent landscape of the Southern Alps.
