Jizo was relocated to the parking lot side, and the cherry blossoms were in full bloom.

When I approached the temple, I saw the cherry blossoms in full bloom. The cherry blossom petals look like they are covered from the gate of the stone pillar, and the main hall is beyond that. Get off at the bus stop "Kamimachi" on Setagaya-dori from Shibuya and walk 5. It is behind the Setagaya Daikanyashiki. When I entered the mountain gate, Jizo-sama of the body was greeted by 2, but due to the maintenance of the parking lot on the left side, it was relocated next to the entrance on the Komadome-dori side of the parking lot. There was that display. It is a temple of the Jodo sect. The main hall is an old wooden building. Also, left ...
It is a temple of the historic Jodo sect founded in 1444 and is a few minutes walk from Kamimachi Station on the Tokyu Setagaya Line. Surrounded by the protected tree 々 in Setagaya Ward, there was a profound atmosphere that felt history.
The small garden on the left hand side of the precinct was impressive.

It is a temple with a relatively vast site for its densely populated area. A tomb occupies the back side of the precincts. The highlight of the surrounding area of the main hall is a magnificent ginkgo tree on the right side facing the main hall. There is a small garden on the left. It's a compact garden like a stone garden with a small stone lantern, but it seems to be well maintained and I feel calm.
Jokoji Temple is located just behind the Setagaya Daikanyashiki (south side). This is the family temple of the Oba family, who served as a daikan in Setagaya, the Ii family (the head of Fudai daimyo), the lord of the Omi Hikone domain, which was also a territory of Setagaya during the Edo period. As soon as you exit the back gate of the large Daikan mansion, it's too convenient to visit the grave at the temple.
It is just a short walk south from Uemachi on the Setagaya Line. It's a very ordinary temple, but the feeling of being a little rusty invites nostalgia.

It's a common temple.
