If you climb Autumn Leafzaka from JR Sakuragicho Station toward Yamate, you will find the Kanagawa Prefectural Library on the site of the former Kanagawa Prefectural Office. It is a group of cultural public facilities that house libraries, music halls, and Noh theaters. Perhaps because it is in the middle of the slope, the entrance is just up the stairs and is not barrier-free.
It is a library in the middle of the hill about a 10-minute walk from Sakuragicho. It's a fairly large library, but it's old. There were many books that seemed to have been in the collection for a long time.
Both Sakuragicho Station and Yokohama Municipal Subway Takashimacho Station are on a 10-minute walk away. It is divided into the main building and the new building, but it is possible to come and go because there is a connecting passage inside. Luggage such as bags must be deposited in the locker at the entrance.
It is a prefectural library located up the autumn leaves slope from Sakuragicho Station. It's not crowded for the large number of books. Audiovisual materials include opera CDs, etc., and can be rented. It's a library that makes you feel history, and when you enter it, it smells like old books.
