From September 14 to 19, 1981, the People's Liberation Army held a large-scale military exercise with modern equipment in the northern area of Zhangjiakou, North China, also known as the PLA North China Exercise, the exercise code name is ＂ 802 ＂. Many types of the People's Liberation Army participated in the exercise, with nearly 120,000 participants, and thousands of aircraft, tanks, artillery and other equipment were used. This is the largest military exercise since the founding of New China, and it is the largest strength of the People's Liberation Army, showing that it has a huge promotional role for the future modernization of the army.
