Zhongmiao is located in Zhongmiao Town on the north bank of Chaohu Lake, across the water from Mushan Island in the center of the lake. The shore rock is shaped like a perched phoenix; the temple has red walls and green tiles, and the eaves are stacked on top of each other. The Middle Temple was built in the second year of Chiwu in the Eastern Wu Dynasty. It first worshipped the Taimu, the master of Chaohu Bo Tao, and later also worshipped Bixia Yuanjun, who was said to be the jade girl of Mount Tai. It has been destroyed several times in history, and in the Qing Dynasty, it was repaired and improved the front, middle and rear halls, totaling more than 70 rooms. The first one enters the main hall for shrines, depicting gods and ghosts, and there is a dazzling array of dazzling sights; the second one is the hall for Buddhist activities; The Buddhist activities of Zhongmiao have a long history. Morning bells and twilight drums, merchants gather, fragrances and prayers, there is an endless stream.
