Lantau Country Park

Lantau Island, the terrain is high and steep in the southwest, the northeast is low, the main peak Phoenix Mountain is 935 meters above sea level, which is the second highest peak in Hong Kong. Lantau Island is the largest island in Hong Kong, China, with an area of 141.6 square kilometers, equal to two Hong Kong islands. The coastline is long and twisty, with the harbor and beaches, mountains and flowing water, natural landscapes and historical monuments.

Because vehicles need a special permit to enter, in Hong Kong, a place with few people, can still retain a more natural environment. There are many country trails, campgrounds and barbecue spots, as well as long beaches. In addition, there are many stray cattle. You can feel the tranquility of the countryside here, but the government has deliberately developed in recent years. This country may be damaged. This time, it is a pity that I took the Ngong Ping 360 cable car directly to the top of Lantau Island. I can only overlook the beautiful scenery of the country park on the cable car. The entire country park is lush with vegetation and there are long trails built in the park, suitable for walking. Unfortunately, we didn't have a chance this time, and we will definitely come for a walk next time.
