Chicago have two of the best zoos. Lincoln Park zoo is my favorite. I’ve been there so many times, that I know the layout by heart. Be sure to visit the elephants and camels in the back. Go on a paddle boat ride, and the hot dogs are delicious.

My favorite Chicago zoo...and it's free so what's not to love.
The zoo is just over a one milefrom the Ginkgo Leaf Apartment A great walk of a quick cab ride. It is a totally free zoo and is currently in the process of opening some up graded exhibits. It is a wonderful laid back zoo with a large conservatory to warm you on a cool Chicago day! The zoo is a perfect destination located along the lake front in Lincoln Park. Also across the street from the zoo is RJ Grunts, local burger and salad bar restaurant since the 1960's. A true Chicago place to go for a great meal.
Great place, plus it's free. Can't get much better than that.Fun place to get kids involved.
