In the center of the Nanyang Huazhou Academy is the Huazhou Academy. It is a "five entrance, four courtyard" structure. The small pond and bridge in the center courtyard are two of the most special and unique features of the Huazhou Academy. The Fangong Temple, a dual-entrance courtyard structure, is located on the west side of the academy. To the north of the Fangong Temple, there is a newly built "four entrance three courtyard” celebrity hall. The central courtyard features the Fangong Well—an ancient well with three holes. The whole complex is built in the style of the northern Qing. Baihuazhou is located on the east side of Huazhou Academy. The layout here is what is referred to as "southern mountains and northern waters," which is comprised of a rock gardens featuring a five-peaked mountain and small cave. The architecture of Baihuazhou adopts the garden style that Fan Zhongyan's hometown was famous for during the Qing Dynasty.
