New_York_GossipWe drove to Sunken Meadow State Park to play. Follow the navigation address (1 Sunken Meadow Pkwy, Kings Park, NY 11754) to the park toll booth (actually the gate). There are already a lot of cars in front of you. It seems like we want to do more in good weather. There are a lot of people doing outdoor activities. Fortunately, the clearance speed is quite fast. If you buy a New York State Park annual pass in advance, it is free to enter. If you don’t have a pass, you need to pay about $10 per car for admission and parking.
The park is quite big with several parking lots. We first parked in the No. 1 parking lot, walked the seaside boardwalk, and played on the beach. The view of the bay was beautiful. Then we drove to the No. 3 parking lot and walked a section of the forest path around there, which was quite interesting. The scenery of the nearby creek is also very good.
The park’s facilities are quite complete. In addition to children’s favorite playgrounds, which have slides and swings, there are barbecue grills in many places, which are especially suitable for a family to play. You can spend most of the day or even a day. In summer, many locals come to camp specially.
