Unexpectedly, hidden deep within Changning Palace, there is such a cozy and scenic secret café! Although it’s not easy to find, following the directions provided by the shop gives a sudden sense of clarity. The long viewing platform offers a view of the majestic Qinling Mountains in the distance. Unfortunately, the recent weather has been heavily foggy, so the continuous Qinling range can only be seen at sunset. The viewing platform faces west, so the sunsets here are truly beautiful, and the afternoon sunlight is excellent! For photos, the light hitting your face between 3 and 4 PM is very comfortable and looks great! The large floor-to-ceiling windows do not block the sunlight from entering the room at all. When the weather is good next summer, I will definitely come back to quietly daydream while watching the distant mountains and clouds on the horizon—it will be very relaxing!

Peiyuan Tower is located by the Yishui River in Dali Village, Peiyuan Subdistrict, Changning City, Hunan Province. It was originally built in the third year of the Tongzhi reign of the Qing Dynasty (1864), funded by Tang Xunfang, a general of the Xiang Army. Its construction was influenced by Feng Shui principles, aiming to remedy the Feng Shui flaws of Changning City to benefit the imperial examination system. The tower was completed in the fifth year of Tongzhi (1866). The tower is a seven-story, octagonal pavilion-style brick and stone structure, approximately 30 meters tall. The base is built with granite, and the top features a hollow iron gourd shape. The main south-facing entrance is inscribed in regular script with "Peiyuan Tower," the east gate is inscribed with "Welcoming Purple Qi," and the north gate with "Great Grace Arrives." The tower's core chamber follows the "round heaven and square earth" design, with stone steps spiraling to the top, creating scenic views such as "Yishui Tower Shadow," "Yuan Tower Sunset Glow," and "Peiyuan Evening Moon." It is a key cultural relic protection unit in Hunan Province.

Kangjia Stage is located by the Kangjia Stream in Jinlian Village, Shuikoushan Town, Changning City. It was first built during the Tongzhi reign of the Qing Dynasty, covering an area of 115 square meters. It features a brick and wood structure, a convex-shaped plan, a double-eaved hip-and-gable roof, small green tiles, and green glazed tile trim. The main ridge ends with dragon-shaped "zhengwen" (ridge ornaments), and a precious finial is centered. It is the only well-preserved ancient stage in Changning City. It is a Major Historical and Cultural Site Protected at the National Level. On November 27, 1922, the inaugural meeting of the Shuikoushan Workers' Club was held at Kangjia Stage. On December 5, the Shuikoushan Workers' Movement general strike, which shocked the entire nation, took place. Kang Hanliu Restaurant is located 50 meters to the right rear of Kangjia Stage. It was built in the late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China period by local villager Kang Hanliu to operate as an inn and for his own residence, also known as Tongxing Restaurant. It was later renamed multiple times. Facing west from the east, it features a brick and wood structure, a hard-peak roof, and is covered with small green tiles. Originally a two-story attic-style residence with four bays, covering an area of 212.9 square meters, currently, one bay remains, covering an area of 37.59 square meters. It is a typical two-story attic-style farmhouse in southern Hunan, with accommodation upstairs and dining downstairs, totaling 10 rooms, and overhanging eaves in front. It is a Major Historical and Cultural Site Protected at the National Level. In late April 1922, Mao Zedong, accompanied by Xia Xi and Peng Pingzhi, traveled from Changsha to Shuikoushan in Changning to investigate the conditions of lead-zinc mine workers, staying in the second-floor attic of Kang Hanliu Restaurant.

The repetitive work processes and the layers upon layers of trivial tasks slowly erode our enthusiasm. Team members silently bear the pressure, rarely having the opportunity to openly share their feelings or heal each other. To rejuvenate, we traveled together to Zhongtian Ancient Village, where the ancient charm of this Ming Dynasty military fortress allowed us to find solace and rekindle our hope for the future. Zhongtian Ancient Village, founded during the Yongle era by the military household of the Li family, is a rare military-defense-style ancient residential complex in Hunan. Over a hundred walled old houses are densely packed, with winding alleys resembling a maze, serving both defensive and agricultural functions. Moonlight Pond in front of the village gathers flowing water, and Cuiwei Peak stands quietly behind it, perfectly preserving the remnants of the Ming Dynasty military fortress system. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, the pace is slow and peaceful, filled with the serene and profound cultural atmosphere of southern Hunan. We cast aside the constraints of performance and deadlines, setting no rush, and strolled leisurely along the ancient cobblestone alleys. We sat around in the open space in front of the ancient ancestral hall, chatting casually, frankly sharing our confusion and fatigue from work. Our companions listened patiently and offered gentle encouragement, gradually dispelling the accumulated emotional strain. During our stroll, we helped each other take photos, shared snacks, and paused to appreciate the layout of the ancient buildings, reminiscing about the days when soldiers and civilians settled and cultivated the land. The simple, idyllic scenery of the ancient village soothed our minds and bodies, and the sincere companionship melted away our worries. I deeply realized that the team is not just comrades-in-arms charging forward side by side, but also a pillar of support during low points. This short rest is not about slacking off, but about recharging for a new journey. After this gentle healing experience, we rediscovered our enthusiasm and are willing to work together to meet all the challenges and surprises ahead. #NewYearDestinations2026 #travel2026

People often say travel is an escape from reality, but I believe it's a way to better return to it. Every time we set off, we trade our daily exhaustion for the gentle embrace of the mountains and the ocean breeze. The most touching part of a journey is never the scenery at the destination, but the way your heart is gently softened by the wind along the way. We always search for our own reflections in other people's stories, thinking that if we have what they have, we can live the way they do. Yet, when you're truly on the road, you realize that travel is life's quick-charge button, helping you rediscover the ability to talk to yourself. Everywhere you walk, the view is beautiful; just setting off is the best cure. The world is vast and wide, and I've witnessed it for you. The scent of osmanthus scattering in the wind and the rough texture of old walls beneath your fingertips all remind you that life can be this simple. On the road, there are no worries, because when your world is big enough, your troubles seem incredibly small. With sand beneath my feet and ancient walls under my hands, I've tucked all the vivid beauty of the world right into my pocket on this trip! This love for life will carry us through every low point, leading us to our own beautiful spring.
Every time I go out, I search for routes on my phone. If it's too far or the transportation is inconvenient, I give up on going. Yinshan Mountain in China is definitely a good place to go. It's easy to get there after getting off the highway, and the mountain is cool and the scenery is pleasant!
M32***62Good mood, good scenery, take parents out and the whole family is very happy. Entering the park early can avoid crowds and take better photos. The cherry blossoms are blooming in patches and are very beautiful! If you are afraid of being tired, you can rent a sightseeing car and enjoy the beautiful scenery all the way! You can also camp, barbecue, and picnic
M27***80It is a scenic spot worth visiting. The mountain has been redeveloped and is full of rhododendrons. The air in the mountains is good. There are various specialties of the Yao ethnic group at the foot of the mountain. There is a grassland on the top of the mountain and many large windmills. It is a bit similar to Wugong Mountain. It is worth reminding novice drivers to be careful. The road to here is a steep winding mountain road with eighteen bends.
自恋狂先生Orange Island is a bit of a mixed experience, and I'm honestly not entirely sure whether I'd consider it a must-visit in Changsha. It's a large, green, and pleasant park, with beautiful riverside views and plenty of space for walking. If you enjoy places with historical significance or simply want to experience a different side of the city, it's definitely worth considering. Most visitors seem to take the sightseeing train to the southern end of the island, where the famous Mao Zedong statue is located. That's also where you'll find plenty of people taking photos, so don't expect a particularly quiet experience. The main downside is that visiting the island takes quite a bit of time, especially if you want to explore it properly. And while it's certainly a nice place, I'm not sure the experience justifies spending several hours here if you have a limited amount of time in Changsha and other places you'd like to see.On the other hand, if you're simply looking for a relaxing walk through a green park, with opportunities to stop by the river and enjoy the scenery, it's a lovely option.Overall, I'd say it's worth visiting if you have some extra time or are particularly interested in Chinese history. Otherwise, I wouldn't necessarily put it at the very top of your Changsha itinerary.
YazonDinAltWhen visiting Guilin, a must-see is Elephant Trunk Hill, the city's iconic landmark. It truly lives up to its reputation as the face of Guilin's landscape; only by seeing it in person can one truly appreciate the wonders of nature. The entire mountain sits on the banks of the Li River, resembling a giant elephant bowing to drink from the water. The Water Moon Cave cuts through the mountain, its reflection shimmering in the water, creating the famous Elephant Trunk Hill and Water Moon spectacle—a flowing ink painting. The scenic area is clean and comfortable, with walking paths built along the Li River, shaded by lush trees, making for a delightful stroll. You can climb the mountain for panoramic views of Guilin, or find classic vantage points along the riverbank to capture stunning, atmospheric photos. Boat trips are also available, offering a different and breathtaking perspective of Elephant Trunk Hill from the river. The scenic area is conveniently located in the city center, with excellent transportation and comprehensive facilities. Every step reveals a new vista, allowing you to truly experience the unparalleled beauty of Guilin's landscape. Don't miss it when traveling to Guilin; it's definitely worth a visit.
M45***48The Hunan Provincial Museum boasts a magnificent collection of artifacts, connecting the Hunan civilization from Shang and Zhou bronzes to the Mawangdui Han Dynasty tombs. The museum houses a large number of national treasures, witnessing the splendor and legend of southern civilization. What makes the Hunan Provincial Museum unique compared to other museums is that it has replicated the tomb pit of Lady Xin Zhui from the Mawangdui Han Dynasty tombs at a 1:1 scale, extending across multiple exhibition halls. Visitors can see from above ground to underground, from everyday scenes to coffins and remains. Being there is truly awe-inspiring.
尘尘During the National Day holiday, the crowds were immense. Our tour guide, Xiao Xiang, led us along the way, providing lively and engaging explanations that saved us from taking unnecessary detours and greatly improved efficiency. He also clearly outlined the key locations.
118***58It felt similar to the Tengwang Pavilion in Nanchang, but with less content. I learned a bit more about Du Fu. It's not far from the Xiangjiang Middle Road subway station, and a walk along the river is very pleasant. There are baggage lockers at Exit 1 of the subway station, which is very convenient and user-friendly! We were on our way to Changsha South Railway Station and stopped by for a quick visit, so it didn't take up much time at all.
206***29The scenic area boasts stunning natural beauty, with red rocks and green waters creating a breathtaking contrast. Rock formations like Meili Tan, Longjibei, and Chongtian Yunti showcase the area's incredible artistry. The service is also exceptional; the seating is perfectly chosen, making Gaoyiling a trustworthy destination.
