Get Out Lille

In autumn, you can make handmade mooncakes. The master will teach you how to knead the dough, wrap the filling, and press the molds. You can make any pattern you want, and all the ingredients are readily available. After you finish making them, the master will bake them for you. Once they cool, you can pack them in a box and take them home. Homemade mooncakes have less sugar, so they are not greasy and are more fragrant than store-bought mooncakes. Making them with your children is a lot of fun for them. When you make them, you can take them home to your grandparents, and your children will be very proud. It is more meaningful than going to an amusement park, and the experience is excellent.

Team Break Lille

Visiting the New Year's market in winter, the whole street is lined with stalls set up by farmers selling homemade cured and dried goods. The prices are cheaper than in supermarkets, and you can sample as much as you want. The stall owners are all very friendly, greeting you with a smile even if you don't buy anything. Holding a freshly roasted sweet potato in your hand, warm, sweet, and soft, you can slowly stroll through the crowd. The whole street is full of the lively atmosphere, which is more interesting than buying New Year's goods online. I picked out two big bags full of good stuff for a low price, which was really worth it.

Decathlon Arena - Stade Pierre Mauroy

Taking the elderly to visit the botanical garden is a great experience. The paths are flat, and the sightseeing bus goes to every pavilion. Each plant is labeled with its name and description, which the elderly can understand. There are plenty of benches for resting, and bottled water is only two yuan a bottle, the same price as outside, so they don't overcharge. The greenhouse is at a comfortable temperature, so it's not cold even in winter. The elderly can stroll around all day without getting tired. It's much more convenient than climbing mountains and scenic spots, and the whole family can have a comfortable time.

Vieux-Lille

We went cherry picking. The cherry trees weren't tall, so we could easily reach them. The ripe cherries were a bright red, and one bite was enough to make them juicy and sweet. We could eat as many as we wanted in the orchard, and take some home by weight. It was half the price of the supermarket. The paths in the orchard were flat, so even the kids could run and pick the cherries. The whole family played for an afternoon. The kids' faces were flushed from eating so much, and they had a great time. It was more fun than shopping in a mall. We picked a whole box to take back to our relatives, and everyone praised how fresh and sweet they were.

Lille Zoo

In early summer, we went strawberry picking. The greenhouses were kept clean, so we didn't get our feet muddy. The strawberries were perfectly ripe, big and red, and sweet with a hint of milky flavor. They tasted better than the ones from the supermarket. We could pick as many as we wanted in the orchard, and the prices were reasonable. We brought our kids along, and they ate as they picked, having a great time. It was much more fun than buying boxed strawberries. We picked a big box and shared it with our colleagues. Everyone praised how sweet they were. It was a very relaxing afternoon outing.

Palais des Beaux Arts

We went blueberry picking in the countryside over the weekend. The orchard was exceptionally clean, with no weeds. The blueberries grew on low branches, so we could easily reach out and pick them. They were ripe, a deep blue-purple, and burst with sweet and juicy goodness with every bite. You could eat as many as you wanted in the orchard, and they were sold by weight after you picked them. The price was cheaper than in the supermarket. We picked them while basking in the sun, taking our time. It was much more fun than buying boxed blueberries at the supermarket. The kids had a blast picking and eating, playing all afternoon without fussing at all. It was so easy and worry-free.
