The Tropic of Cancer Sign Tower is located in Fengbin Township, Hualien County, facing the Pacific Ocean to the east. The north and south sides of the sign tower are engraved with the words "Tropic of Cancer", and there are long and narrow slits in the middle of the column. The Tropic of Cancer is located at 23.5 degrees north latitude. On the day of the summer solstice every year, the sun shines directly on the Tropic of Cancer. The "immediately invisible" at noon is a unique astronomical phenomenon on the Tropic of Cancer!
