Very historic waterway bridge, ancient and majestic. The year before last was a large square, where people basked in the sun and rested. A young mother pushing a stroller took the initiative to greet us in Chinese, a comfortable place.
As far as I know this is one of the oldest ruins in Istanbul. It has been standing among a group of modern buildings, and there is a big road passing under it. There is a nice park next to it, where you can rest and admire this great building.
Valence Waterway Bridge is a Roman aqueduct, the main water supply system of the Byzantine Empire’s capital Constantinople (Istanbul). It was completed by the Byzantine Emperor Valence in the late 4th century and was restored by several Ottoman Sultans. One of the most important landmarks.
