Kimi_jmPula Arena is located in the center of the historic city of Pula in Croatia's Istria Peninsula. It was built in the Roman era and has a history of nearly 2000 years. The arena is oval in shape with a wall height of more than 30 meters. It is all built of stone and can accommodate more than 20,000 spectators. The circular arena in Pula is one of the six largest Roman arenas in the world. It is also the world The only arena on which all Roman buildings are completely preserved. It is currently one of the two three-story Roman arena (the other one is in Tunisia). A four-hour drive from Zadar to Rovinj, I went to Pula first to see this famous arena. The impressive ancient Roman architecture on site, in fact, you don’t need to buy a ticket to enter. You can take beautiful photos in a week around. The arena is by the sea in Puerto Pula
tiramisu1130Rovinj-Rovinj, antique, picturesque, exuding a strong Italian style, is known as a "blue pearl" on the Adriatic Sea! The colorful houses on both sides of the river here and the various yachts docked at the pier give me the illusion of being in Venice, especially in the setting sun, it feels so beautiful!
渭南松赞干布The Brijuni Islands National Park is located in the Adriatic Sea, off the coast of the Croatian coastal city of Pula. The Brijuni Islands used to be the private vacation place of President Tito of the FRY. The closest route to get here is to take a cruise from the seaside town of Fazana. You can visit Tito's residence on the island. The area of the island is not small, so you have to take a sightseeing bus to visit each attraction. The island has the ruins of an ancient Roman temple, a safari park, and the statue of a naked woman called Brijuni Venus. It is a masterpiece of the Yugoslav sculptor Anton Augustincic dedicated to President Tito.
特古西加尔巴来俊臣These two days have been staying in Plitvice Lakes National Park (known as Jiuzhaigou, Croatia). It is really five steps, one lake, ten steps and one waterfall, and every step is beautiful. The plan for the entire national park is also very good. Many wooden steps were built by picking up waterfalls. The gurgling waterfall flows under the feet, which feels too luxurious. Yesterday afternoon and this morning were cloudy. The hike was very comfortable. The water color can only be slightly inferior.
In the summer I was able to explore new places by driving all over Eastern Europe by car. This is what I found in Croatia. A wonderful colosseum like the one in Rome. Exactly located in Pula in Dalmatia. A beautiful place by the sea. Perfect for summer vacations!
The Arena of Pula, the amphitheatre of Pula is one of the six largest Roman arenas in the world. It is also the only arena in the world that completely preserves all Roman architecture. Built between 27 BC and 68 AD, this building is the largest and best preserved historical site in Croatia. The arena was used mainly for fighting performances. This magnificent Roman period ruin once accommodated 20,000 spectators. Nowadays, the arena is used as a venue for many cultural events in the summer, standing in an empty arena, imagining the hustle and bustle of the old people and the fierce fighting of the gladiators. The historical site of Croatia is only the first stop, it has been shocking.
