Kaohsiung, the central city in the southern part of Taiwan, is reputed as a “romantic port city”. It is not just a massive and prosperous port city, but is also rich with fashion and culture. Liuhe Tourist Night Market and Kaisyuan Night Market are favorites of Taiwanese snack lovers, while Dream Mall can satisfy any shopping desire. You can also choose to take in the colorful sights the Dome of Light, located in the Formosa Boulevard MRT Station.
_GG***61Liuhe Night Market is a lively place with a lot of fresh seafoods around to order. The price is relatively stable across the whole market so you wont have to worry about paying more than what it is worth.Must try roasted oyster.

M36***22The "Dagou" in "Dagou British Consulate" is a transliteration of the language of the aboriginals of Taiwan. It actually represents a place name. It means that the British consulate is in the place of "Dagou". I personally feel that it is worth visiting. History.
vivienvivienXiziwan Beach is located in the Gushan District of Kaohsiung Sun Yat-sen University, on the north side of the breakwater. The sandy beach of Xiziwan Beach is gentle, which is a good place to play in the water in summer. An open-air swimming pool is also set on the inner side of the beach, lined with coconut trees on the beach, which has a tropical summer style. In recent years, water entertainment projects have been added, such as banana boats and jet skis.
E29***46Pleasant creative hub and place to visit for families, couples or individuals. Lots of sights and colours, with speciality shops and F&B outlets to relax too. Pier-2 Art Center has a few stations along the light rail line, and a short stroll from the MRT statiion.

Chaishan “Secret Beach” is located in Chaishan, Kaohsuing southern part of Taiwan. It’s called hidden beach because entrance is hard to find and you need to do a small hike before you reach the place. Best place to relax and enjoy with friends. A lot of monkeys roving around you must be careful.
Wandering in the ruins of Cihou Fort in Kaoshiung. It is Taiwan's former naval fortress.

amazing tour in taiwan
This is one of the most popular romantic destinations in Kaohsiung. It's a must-visit for tourists to the area. The view is beautiful. There are tour boats as well. Unfortunately in recent years the river is known to have been polluted and the odour isn't pleasant. This lovely city seems to be on the decline in recent years and I hope it can start to flourish again in the future and these destinations can be further developed or at least return to its former glory.

One of the most southern points of Taiwan, filled with lots of food and fun for all ages. Prepare to do lots of walking or even rent a bicycle along the way. I would definitely recommend trying out foods at the night market which is my favorite part of the trip. Don’t forget to visit the harbour and the island if you have some extra spare time as well!
