在东大街喝完牛肉汤想走到另外一条美食街去,就经过这个鼓楼远远的看上去亮灯的还挺好看,就像以前的城楼一样,走近了才发现牌子上写着鼓楼两个字。cparissh

Luoyang Drum Tower, renamed "Qiaolou", is located on Luoyang Old Street, about 1 km eastwards along West Street after exiting Lijingmen. The Drum Tower was originally built on Zhongzhou Road in front of today's Youth Square, and was moved to the present site in the 42nd year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (1614 AD). Different from Xi'an Bell Tower and Drum Tower, Luoyang is the integration of Bell and Drum Tower. The Drum Tower is a building used in ancient times to announce the time during the day and night, the so-called "morning bell and evening drum". In the thirty-fourth year of Jiajing in the Ming Dynasty (AD 1555), this drum tower was cast at the same time as the Baima Temple bell. Because of the same casting parameters, it resonated and formed one of the eight scenic spots in Luoyang. The bell of the Drum Tower and the bell of the White Horse Temple, no matter which one is ringing, the other will definitely echo the self-sounding. There is a popular saying in the folk that "the bell strikes in the east and the bell rings in the west, and the bell strikes in the west and rings in the east".
