Houtong is located in Guangfu, Gongqiao and Houtong Sanli in Ruifang District, New Taipei City. In the past, coal mines were the main production activities. The surrounding characteristic attractions include Coal Transport Bridge, Ruishan Mining Coal Preparation Plant, Jinzibei Ancient Road, Sandiaoling Waterfall and Houtong Railway Station, etc. Since the mining settlement in Houtong is still quite intact and fully representative, in order to preserve the living history of Taiwan's coal mine development, the New Taipei City Government spent five years and spent NT$200 million to plan and renovate related factories and facilities in the mining area. "Houtong Coal Mine Museum Park" reproduces the characteristic features of the Houtong coal mine industrial ecological settlement, allowing tourists to return to the time and space of the year, and deeply appreciate the years that Houtong has gone through. It can be called an emerging cultural attraction in northern Taiwan. Whether you come here by car or ride a bicycle, there are complete moving lines and parking lots, which are worth savoring.
