Ayuwang Temple, located at the peak of Taibai Mountain, Baozhuang, Wuxiang Town, Yinzhou District, Ningbo City, was built in Taikang, the Wudi of West Jin, and has a history of more than 1700 years. Ayuwang Temple is known as the "Southeast Buddha Kingdom" and is a famous Buddhist temple of Zen Buddhism. It is also the only ancient temple in China named after the Indian Ayu. It is famous for its real body of the Buddha's treasure, Sakyamuni, and the exquisite Sheli Pagoda. It was announced by the State Council as "the key Buddhist monastery in the Han nationality area of the country" in 1984.
