This museum on Youngdo Island, you can take bus 66 from Nanpu Station. They have some knowledge about North Korea, how they can conduct activities at sea and so on. Upstairs you can learn about boats, underwater marine life, and even boys exploring the ocean during the day. There is an aquarium on the 3rd floor where you can walk down to see sharks and fish swimming and so on. Outside, you can walk around, look at the scenery, look at the buildings, the museum looks like a spaceship outside. The best place is that it's free, so what do you have to lose? Visiting this place mainly because it is within walking distance of the Hilton Busan I stayed at and I must admit that there is no particularly strong interest in fishing. I found this museum quite old and not attractive enough for contemporary visitors. The exhibits are very static, mostly in Korean. They tried to make dramatic effects with models, but the results were not good, and the aquarium that was going to end the visit was small. If you bring your children together, it will be more attractive. Besides, I don’t think it’s a maritime museum, actually more like a fishing-related museum, and I feel like their translated names even imply that.
