This is a small island near the center of town, easily reached by a bus that has a small open-air museum similar to Skansen. Although significantly smaller than Skansen, it seems more intimate and the docents are more likely to answer your questions. If you want to see the old Finnish building but don't want to go inside them, you don't have to pay the entry fee which only applies to going in the buildings. The open-air museum is just a fraction of the island. The rest is full of lovely hiking trails and vistas out onto the water. A great day out walking in nature.
