Mount Nong Abbey is located on the hill east of Salzburg Castle. Construction of this church began in 1696 and was completed in 1707. It is still a model of religious complex architecture. After graduating from university, Maria came to Salzburg by train as a nun. After working as a governess at Baron Trapp's house, she married Baron Trapp at Mount Nong Abbey in 1927. "The Sound of Music" filmed a lot of scenes at Nonsan Monastery. The song Maria was performed in the courtyard. The children went to the door of Nonsan Monastery and asked Maria to come home.
