Photos of Maiji Mountain Scenic Area

The Maiji Mountain Scenic Area is located in Tianshui City. The four main sites within the scenic area are the Maiji Mountain Grottoes, the Xianren Cliff, Shimen and the Quxi Scenic Area. There is also an ancient town and the Jieting Hot Spring Scenic Area. The Maiji Mountain Grottoes, Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes, Longmen Grottoes and Yungang Grottoes are the four major Buddhist grottoes in China. Xianren Cliff has three cliffs. The west cliff holds the most Buddhist temples. Shimen Mountain is located in the southeastern part of Tianshui City. There are many historical sites from the Ming and Qing Dynasties to be found here. To the southeast of Maiji Mountain, the Quxi Scenic Area is a natural botanical garden and safari park.
