Longzhouchi, or the lake of dragon boat, is located in Xiamen's Jimei district. Famed entrepreneur and charity donor Chen Jiageng funded the building of embankment and reclamation initiatives along the beach here, leading to the creation of three lakes (outer lake, inner lake and middle lake), of which the outer one came to be nicknamed the "lake of dragon boat." By the lakeside there are seven pavilions in different sizes and styles. During the Dragon Boat Festival, the lake is flooded with water and turned into a venue for racing boats. This is also a great place for relaxation and retreat where visitors can experience the fun of duck hunting.
