Sansha Town belongs to Xiapu County, Ningde City, Fujian Province. It is located in the coastal prominence of northeastern Fujian Province, in the middle of Xiapu County, 126 nautical miles away from Keelung Port and only 16 nautical miles away from Matsu Island, with a land area of 63.6 square kilometers. According to historical records, from the Tang Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty, all dynasties have set up towns and garrisoned troops here. Historically known as "Funing Gateway, Fujian and Zhejiang Key", it has been known as "Fujian and Zhejiang important town" and "maritime important town" since ancient times. Sansha Town is the location of the well-known fishing grounds in eastern Fujian. It is one of the four earliest second-class ports for trade with Taiwan in Fujian Province. It is a civilized village and town in Fujian Province and a provincial-level beautiful town.
