This Fukaya Castle Ruins Park is about 20 minutes north of Fukaya Station on the JR Takasaki Line. Currently, the castle gate and walls have been restored. The site of the Honmaru is maintained as a park. As a remains, there is a moat near the torii gate of Fuji Asama Shrine on the east side of the castle ruins park.
You can imagine that it is a castle ruin because the outer wall of the park is like a castle, but there is nothing left about Fukaya Castle in the park. The only remaining remains of Fukaya Castle are the pond and waterways that go around the shrine of Fuji Asama Shrine, which was the prayer shrine of Mr. Fukaya Uesugi, which is adjacent to the east side of the park.
I've been to Fukaya Civic Hall for some time, but the other day I learned that it was a castle ruins park for the first time. There are many families in the neighborhood and it is a place of relaxation.
You can visit on foot while there are many tourist attractions away from the station. The walls around it were a park where local children could play, so it wasn't enough to bother to visit for sightseeing. There are slider playsets and small ponds, so it may be a good place for young children to play.
