Rise & fall of Christianity in Nagasaki
Good place to go & learn about the rise & fall of Christianity in Nagasaki. The information provided was clear & the video summarised the displayed information.
The Arima Christian Heritage Museum is an interesting place that one can see and interact with many facets of Japanese History and especially its interaction and involvement with people from other cou...
I stopped by this museum on my way from Shimabara to Amakusa. There is a bus from Shimabara station and it cost (in Oct 2018) 950¥. The bus stop is 700m from the museum and part of that is uphill. T...
I came after going to the ruins of Hara Castle. It's enough to be 10 minutes by car. There was also a road guide on the way near the sports park. There is a parking lot in front of the building. When it was full, I used to use the parking lot in the sports park. The Shimabara Rebellion is the center of the exhibition, but I was interested in the exhibition of cultural heritage including Nanban trade, including Hara Castle. I felt that the correct answer was to come here first and then go to the ruins of Hara Castle.
A memorial hall that I want to see before going to the ruins of Hara Castle

On the way from Obama Onsen to the ruins of Hara Castle, I saw the information board of the Christian Memorial Hall in front of the ruins of Hara Castle, so I stopped by. It's a memorial hall with an atmosphere like a public hall, but it was a great learning experience before going to the ruins of Hara Castle, such as Harunobu Arima, a Christian daimyo, and a video video of the Shimabara Rebellion. I think the view of the ruins of Hara Castle will change.
