Minato Park was located south of Shinchi Chinatown. A Chinese-style gate was also built on the Minato Park side, facing the Chinese Gate on the south side of Shinchi Chinatown. It is said that this area was reclaimed as a storage of trade goods to China during the isolation period. Therefore, Chinatown was formed right next door. This park is located at the venue of the Nagasaki Lantern Festival, where large objects and about 15,000 lanterns color the city for 15 days from the Lunar New Year to the small New Year. ...

After entering Nagasaki City and checking in at the hotel we stayed at, we headed to Shinchi Chinatown to have dinner on this day. Before entering Chinatown, I stopped by Minato Park, which is adjacent to the south side. A magnificent gate stands on the park side in front of the Chinese Gate at the entrance of Chinatown. And there were Chinese gardens and rest areas in the park.
It is a park right next to Shinchi Chinatown in Nagasaki. It's a dream park with a lantern festival, but it's usually a park that's not particularly unusual. There is a Chinese-style garden and a rest area in the park, which is a good place to take a break while eating what you bought in Chinatown.
It is a park adjacent to Chinatown, one of Nagasaki's tourist destinations. It seems that it will be the venue at the Lantern Festival, but it is usually not very green and it looks like a square. The gates make you feel close to Chinatown, but it may not have much impact after seeing Chinatown.
