Location is excellent. There's direct link bridge between the hotel and the Nagano station. So it's very easy to get to the train station with our luggage. We only stayed one night and Nagano is only our transit stop to other attractions. So we didn't manage to see much in Nagano. But we did notice that there are lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance. Staffs are friendly but some don't speak much English.

Absolutely loved this hotel! The design is very stylish and modern. The service was impeccable, and the rooms were great – quite spacious for Japan. Breakfast offered a wide variety of choices, and the onsen baths were incredibly clean. Highly recommend! I'm already planning to revisit this winter!

We had a lovely stay here. The view from the room was very nice. The free snacks and drinks every evening was a really nice touch and a great way to end the day. The room was comfortable and spacious. There is not much happening in the area and taxis around were quite expensive, however they did have a free shuttle bus from the hotel.

My recent stay at Hotel JAL City Nagano was a pleasant experience. The hotel is remarkably clean, which was a top priority for me. The rooms were spacious and well-appointed, ensuring a comfortable stay. The hotel's location is another major highlight. It's just a short walk from Nagano Station, making it easily accessible for travelers arriving by train. The surrounding area is also bustling with shops, restaurants, and cafes, providing plenty of options for dining and entertainment. Several popular attractions, such as Zenkoji Temple and the Tokugawa Garden, are also within walking distance, making it easy to explore the city's cultural and historical sites. While the hotel offers basic amenities, it's the cleanliness and convenient location that truly make it stand out. If you're looking for a clean and comfortable hotel in Nagano with easy access to major attractions, Hotel JAL City Nagano is a great choice.

It is a pleasure to stay at this hotel because of its cleanliness and the services it provides. Despite the fact that the property is old and needs some renovation, I am still happy to leave a very good review. The hotel provides a free shuttle service to Matsumoto station. Additionally, it offers complimentary onsen access at another hotel, with shuttle bus service included. Hotel guests should make full use of these. Reminder: To ensure your seat at the onsen, please make the reservation by 9am every day. I will stay at this hotel again when I visit Matsumoto next time.

I like this hotel very much. The room is super big and there is an outdoor heated bathtub. You can take a bath anytime without waiting. The snow scene outside the window is beautiful, and it is a great place to check in. The hotel's hot spring is also quite large and not crowded. You can choose Japanese or Western breakfast, and the Japanese style is quite exquisite. It takes about 30 minutes to go skiing in Hakuba, and it is very convenient to drive. The rooms are well maintained and the beds are very comfortable. It is also very convenient to go skiing in Hakuba, and it is more cost-effective than living in Hakuba.

Facilities: The rooms are very spacious; we were assigned a garden-view room. It seems to be primarily frequented by Japanese locals. The hotel also features a sauna and a hot spring (onsen). Cleanliness: Good. They don't automatically offer daily room cleaning; you just need to place your used towels outside the door for fresh ones. Location: It's a bit far from the train station, requiring at least a ten-minute walk. However, this isn't an issue for locals, as most guests arrive by car. Service: There's a ********* staff member at the front desk who speaks Chinese. The rest of the staff also speak good English. Price: Excellent value for money!

I used it on a snowboarding trip! The rice was delicious and the quantity was just right. This was my second time using this restaurant and I was very satisfied! The bath was spacious and spacious as a family bath. I was able to purchase a discount ticket for a day-trip hot spring, and I bought a day-trip hot spring ticket at the end of the snowboarding the next day. Although there are other shops in the pension district that interest me, I would like to use it again because I feel safe. I think you and your family can use it with peace of mind. I ended up only taking pictures of the food 😂

The location of the hotel is relatively remote, and there are no street lights. You need to take a car to get in. The taxi fare from Karuizawa Station is ¥1,200. There are many vegetables in the restaurant, and there is no meat in the breakfast! There are many kinds of champagne for tasting🥂The room is spacious, so you won’t feel cramped if you have friends to gather with

Amazing
GGuest UserI stayed at this hotel with my wife and two children during a two-night trip to Karuizawa in early February. The hotel is around 100 years old and its claim to fame is that John Lennon has stayed there. The piano that he played on is still in the bar. Location: The hotel is near Old Ginza Street and around a 15-minutes drive from Karuizawa station. It was not difficult to find, but you must navigate a narrow approach to the hotel which is icy at this time of the year, so you must drive carefully. Cleaniness: The staff told me that the hotel was only recently and everything was very clean and in good condition. Service: The receptionist that conducted the check-in was probably the Japanese that spoke the best English that I had encountered on this trip. He spent a lot of time explaining the hotel to our family. The porter was also very helpful and polite. When we asked for extra toothbrushes and slippers for the children, housekeeping was very prompt in delivering them and even brought some children's robes for my sons. Facilities: The hotel did not have many facilities. There is a small shop, a bar and a french restaurant but not much else. Some rooms had private hot springs in them and they gave us the opportunity to upgrade. Our room, had a small balcony even though we were on the ground floor. It looked onto a wooded area so there was not much to see, especially at night. However, when it snowed the next morning, my kids loved going out and playing in the snow. I was particularly impressed by the breakfast. It was a simple American breakfast very well presented. It was very pleasurable to look out into the inner courtyard with it was snowing. Overall: I like this hotel as it has a lot of character. It is architecturally attractive and has kept a lot of its charm despite renovation. The staff are very professional and polite. I would stay in this hotel again.

GGuest UserOur staying here was a pure pleasure! And I must say, it exceeded all our expectations! From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, making the check-in process smooth and hassle-free. The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, providing a perfect retreat after a long day of exploring. The location of the hotel is fantastic, sarrounded by montains and river. The free shuttle from Chino Station makes getting here quite easy. Enjoying the onsen was a delightful experience, offering pleasure for all your senses: the hot spring water, the sounds of nature, the beautiful scenery. The traditional kaiseki dinner was exceptional! Each dish was thoughtfully prepared, showcasing fresh, local ingredients. The flavors were rich and well-balanced, with a perfect blend of spices. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. Overall, it was a delightful culinary experience that complemented the serene surroundings perfectly! I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking to escape and rejuvenate in nature, have a comfortable and pleasant holiday away from the noisy and crowded big city. I can't wait to return during other season! Thank you!

PPeter grand papa LiuLast year I was staying at the Prince hotel at Karuizawa for a wedding party! This time we spent just one night mainly for outlet shopping! We were surprised and excited when we started to enjoy the free dinner 8 course of Spanish cuisine! Every dish was so good, taste, yummy and delicious! Not only that right after dinner there was a free flow drink in the other section with all kinds of wine and Japanese whiskey too! We were more than satisfied and happy to stay in your hotel! For sure in my next visit I would stay at your hotel again

AAnonymous UserIt's a 10 mins walk uphill from train station so maybe better to try to contact them for a complimentary pick up. The place is super grand and 2 onsens. A Instagram worthy one that the males and females get to use it at different timings. The shower stuff in the onsen are mediocre though. No fancy facial stuff for women unlike some other onsens at this price range. We had breakfast and dinner for the 2 nights. And well worth it. But you have to follow a fixed timing and we felt a bit rushed but otherwise it was really great and service perfect. We had one the biggest rooms I believe Room 716. Had a sitting area and also a sleeping area. Easily fits 8 persons. We were only 2. In the day they kept the futons and brought it out at night. Towels changed every night. There is a van that goes straight to Mount Yokoteyama ski resort. The receptionist didn't seem to know about it but you could try to Google. It was a complimentary ride to and fro if you bought the lift tickets. Took only like 30 mins to get there. You can get rentals at hotels there.

NNC8891The hotel is located quite far from Karuizawa JR station. There is a pickup bus service every half an hour outside the south exit of the station. However the bus is very small and can be quite full at times, causing people to rush onto the bus. It would be better if the hotel could set up a better queue-up system or adjust the frequency of the pickup bus service. By the way you can deposit luggage at the customer centre next to the pickup bus stop and have them transferred to the hotel for you. I thought the hotel did not advertise the service enough as it is very useful and effective in creating more passenger space in the pickup bus. Breakfast at the hotel is not buffet style, so went to the Prince Karuizawa West hotel to have breakfast instead. During non-peak hours the hotel offers individual transportation for free so that is definitely a plus. The Momiji hot spring is definitely a must-visit. Clean, modern, hygienic, exactly what I look for in a hot spring. Overall service is excellent.
