We booked a triple room for two adults and a child, but it only came with a double bed. Luckily, our little one was small enough to share. The room was incredibly spacious, and from the window, we had a view of the Hankyu department store across the street and the iconic red Ferris wheel. Check-in on the 19th floor was quick. On the room floors, next to the elevators, there were ice and beverage vending machines. Downstairs, there are 7-Eleven stores on both the ground floor (1F) and the basement level (B1). The one on the ground floor also sold a variety of souvenirs at reasonable prices, and they offered tax refunds.
The location is truly excellent. We were a bit disoriented on our first day, but we quickly realized that no matter how you arrive, as long as you head towards JR Osaka Station, you can't go wrong. To reach other shopping malls, simply head to the second floor for direct connections.
On our last day, we took the airport limousine bus to the airport. Following tips from Xiaohongshu (a Chinese social media platform), we arrived very quickly.
The location is absolutely perfect, with direct subway access downstairs and Daimaru and Parco department stores just across the street, making shopping and dining incredibly convenient. Dotonbori is also only a few minutes' walk away. However, the location is really its only redeeming quality. The rooms and facilities are extremely dated. There's very limited space to hang clothes, and the design clearly hasn't been updated in a very long time. Staying here was uncomfortable; it's really just a makeshift place to crash for the night.

We love how strategic the location of Osaka Excel Hotel Tokyu is! It is about 5 minutes walk away from the Osaka station and great for travelling out of Osaka. The room itself was so spacious and it is the most value of money out of the three different hotels we have stayed in Japan. Toiletries were provided in the room. The bed was also very comfortable! It is about 20 minutes walk to Shinsaibashi and Dotonburi.
Nice Hotel, a bit isolated, but beside a small train station that connects to the city centre in about half an hour. Room small but clean. Breakfast with good selection, especially for cakes and other sweets.
Staff kind, but sometimes a bit hasty.
Universal Studio within 15 minutes walk.
This was my second stay at the hotel, and it was still excellent! The location is superb; the Nankai Line subway station is conveniently located right downstairs. There are also plenty of dining options in the vicinity. The two 1.2-meter single beds make it perfect for two adults traveling with a child. I'll definitely choose to stay here again on my next trip.

I recently had an incredible stay at Citadines, one of the best hotels I've ever experienced, and it truly offers exceptional value for money. The safety features provided an added peace of mind, especially with the card access for entering the building.
The elevator was beautifully designed, resembling an elegant clock, which added a unique touch to the overall ambiance. Each level is equipped with a handy water dispenser, and I found a washing machine conveniently available as well. For families, there's a delightful kids' playroom, and the pantry offers unlimited coffee and tea—an absolute treat for any coffee lover!
I appreciated the microwave available in my room, and I was impressed by the clean, carpeted hallways that exuded a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff were exceptionally accommodating and fluent in multiple languages, which made communication effortless. I requested no housekeeping during my two-night stay, just a towel change, and the staff honored my preference. As a delightful surprise, I received a complimentary matcha latte from the lobby bar, and it was absolutely delicious!
The gym on-site was fantastic, fully equipped with cables and dumbbells, making it easy to keep up with my fitness routine. I loved the room's blackout curtains; they provided perfect darkness for a restful night's sleep. Additionally, I appreciated the flexibility of a 12 noon checkout, which allowed me to relax a bit longer.
Thank you, Citadines, for an unforgettable experience! I can't wait to return to Osaka and stay with you again. I absolutely loved my time there!

We had a wonderful stay at Centara Grand Osaka. It’s great value for money, especially for families. Even the standard room was impressively large with a thoughtful layout and spacious entryway—perfect for maneuvering luggage, a stroller, and keeping shoes organized. The bed was big and very comfortable, and we appreciated the provided toiletries and pyjamas for kids.
The hotel is conveniently located near Namba Station and Namba Parks, with plenty of eateries and shops within walking distance. The staff were mostly international and spoke English well, which made communication smooth and easy. Breakfast had a refreshing Thai-inspired twist, a welcome change from the Japanese meals we enjoyed throughout the day.
Highly recommended for families visiting Osaka!
Stayed for a night because I was attending a concert at Kyocera Dome. Access from/to KIX was convenient via the Kanku Rapid (direct, no transfer). Kyocera Dome is one JR train stop away (although Taisho Station is quite a walk to Kyocera Dome). I was hungry after coming back from the concert and most shops & eateries had already closed but fortunately there's a 24hr Family Mart right in front of the hotel so that was a lifesaver. I was disappointed with how inflexible they were with the check-in time. I know the check in time is 3pm, but I just asked the receptionist at 2.30pm to please let me know if a room happens to be ready early because I'll be sitting in the lobby - she said to come back at 3pm. A few minutes later (before 3pm), I saw other people check-in - why the discrimination? Seriously disappointed.

Sheraton Osaka came highly recommended online, and after comparing it myself, I can confirm it's indeed an excellent choice. First off, the transportation is incredibly convenient. You can take a direct bus from the airport straight to the hotel's doorstep, which is much easier than taking the subway. It costs 1800 JPY per adult, and children are half price. Right downstairs, you'll find both Kintetsu and subway lines (I still don't quite understand the difference between Kintetsu and the regular subway, but I think they're just different operating companies). The hotel has direct access to the subway: you go down to B1, exit, and then go down one more level to reach the station. You can even get children's subway cards at a staffed counter there, which saves you the hassle of dealing with crowded counters at the airport. Namba is just two direct stops away. For Shinsaibashi, you transfer at Namba and it's another two stops, though honestly, it's not a long walk from Namba either. You can also take two stops to Tsutenkaku Zoo. For Universal Studios Japan, I took one stop on the Kintetsu line to Tsuruhashi, then transferred to the JR line, which was also very convenient.
Right next to the hotel is a Kintetsu Department Store. It's not the main branch (I always get them mixed up!), but it's very well-stocked. It even has a Daiso and an Edion, and both offer tax-free shopping. There are also dining options on the 12th floor. If you walk through the department store, you'll find a McDonald's, Uniqlo, and Muji. A little further down, there's a Yoshinoya and an ABC-Mart. Basically, all your shopping needs are covered. There's a supermarket in the basement, which was where we usually grabbed things for breakfast. If you don't feel like going to the supermarket, there are also 7-Elevens and Lawsons nearby. The 7-Eleven on the ground floor is quite large, and across the street, you'll find a Lawson drugstore and another Daiso.
The hotel rooms are also quite spacious. I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit.

## Facilities
The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from Honmachi Station on the Midosuji Line. Crucially, this station exit lacks an elevator, and upon arrival, dragging our luggage up the stairs was quite a struggle. The rooms aren't huge, but its prime location more than makes up for it, as the surrounding area is incredibly convenient. A 7-Eleven right downstairs took care of all our breakfast and snack needs. Who can relate to the joy of grabbing some beer and snacks after a long day on your feet, then heading back to the hotel for a drink and a chat...?
## Environment
There's a noodle shop at the street corner near the hotel that I absolutely have to recommend! It's self-service, and the noodles are super delicious and affordable. Plus, it's open until 11 PM! Coming back late at night and seeing its warm glow on the street corner really gave me that 'Midnight Diner' (Japanese drama) vibe.
## Cleanliness
I believe daily room cleaning is complimentary. You just need to place the 'Please clean' sign on your door, which you should confirm with the front desk during check-in. We stayed for three nights, and one day we forgot to put up the sign, so the room wasn't cleaned that day, but no extra charges were incurred.
One evening, returning to the hotel, we did experience some loud motorcycles revving their engines on the street near the Honmachi station exit. However, the hotel itself was very quiet, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. Overall, I still highly recommend this hotel.

GGuest UserThe rooms are clean but the bed is a bit squeeze for 2 persons. While the location is just nice as Walking distance fm the station to the hotel and lot of eateries nearby. The hotel offer free beer at selected times for guests too. The cons is they are very strict for late check out requests. Overall is still good and will be bck again.

GGuest UserMy wife and I stayed in the King Premium room for 2 nights in April 2025.
We loved the location of the hotel. It is 5 mins walk from Osaka station and surrounded by many shopping malls so you will never go hungry or run out of things to buy. It is also very convenient to make day trips since Osaka station connects to nearby cities like Nara, Kobe, Kyoto and Himeji.
We also loved the size of the room (40m^2) and the toilet. There was more than enough space to fully open 2 luggage bags. There were also 2 separate sofas which you could sit in.
The only thing we thought could have been improved on was the reception as no one offered to bring our luggage bags up to our room.
Great room and location, service could’ve been improved.
GGuest UserI stayed at this hotel for the second time and was impressed by its consistent quality. The room was spotlessly clean, and Sexually transmitted infection: and well-equipped with modern facilities, ensuring a comfortable stay. The location is highly convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions and transport. The staff were courteous and attentive, providing excellent service throughout my visit. My only complaint is that the milk vending machine was frequently out of stock, which was a minor inconvenience. Overall, the hotel offers a pleasant and reliable experience, making it a great choice for travelers. I would definitely consider returning for future stays.

AAnonymous UserVery convenient located with lots of dining options and convenience stores (including a 24-hour supermarket) in the vicinity. We stayed in a Small Twin Room, which is a bit tight in space. However, there’s a lounge area near the lobby with free-flow drinks which we could enjoy our snacks there. Shinsaibashi shopping strip and Dotonbori is also within short walking distance and two to four train stations are easily accessible.

BBingxueweiqingreI stayed here for one night specifically to catch the fireworks festival in Osaka. It's incredibly convenient, being just one train stop from Kansai Airport (KIX). The entire journey, from boarding the train to reaching the hotel lobby, took less than 15 minutes.
The lobby is located on the second floor. Right outside the entrance is a Lawson convenience store, and the hotel's back door connects directly to the elevator lobby, making it super easy to grab snacks and daily essentials anytime. Check-in starts at 3 PM and can get quite busy, but there are plenty of self-check-in machines, and Chinese-speaking staff are also on hand to assist.
The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle service to the airport, which you can book by scanning a QR code upon check-in. However, since the last shuttle departs at 11 AM, I opted to take the train to the airport instead.
On the 3rd floor, there's a spacious public bathhouse with several different pools. It can get a bit crowded in the evenings, though, perhaps because it was a weekend.
The hotel is within walking distance of Rinku Beach and Rinku Premium Outlets. If you happen to miss the hotel breakfast, there are also dining options available at the Outlets mall. Plus, there's a shuttle bus from the Outlets' lower level that goes to Aeon Mall Sennan. All in all, for a short stay of a day or two in Osaka, this hotel is a great choice.
QQiAbsolutely loved this hotel ❤️
☀️: The room curtains effectively blocked out the morning sun, the bedding was soft, and there was a choice of two pillow types.
🛁: The bath was wonderfully relaxing, and their foam facial cleanser was so impressive I even took a photo of it to buy later!
🪥: I brought my own toiletries, so I didn't check theirs. I also didn't get around to using the self-service laundry room on the fifth floor.
☕️: If you prefer to stay in, you can make pour-over coffee in your room. Or, you can head down to the lounge on the L (Lobby) floor for a drink.
💁: A staff member at the front desk spoke fluent Chinese, and the check-in process was very efficient.
🚇: The hotel has excellent public transport links, there are plenty of supermarkets nearby, and the area felt very safe at night.
👍 Would definitely recommend to friends.

GGuest UserNice location and impeccable service. Breakfast choice is a little bit limited though, not to mention the long lines for seats in the morning
