The hotel is the largest and most luxurious in the area. You can enter by swiping your card, which gives you a full sense of security. The room decoration style is simple and elegant. The comfortable bed and bedding will help you fall asleep quickly and peacefully after a tiring day. It is a good experience!
Location was perfect for us with quick access to Yale University and its nearby restaurants and shopping areas. Housekeeping services are minimum (just refills of amenities, exchange of towels, and garbage emptying) which fit us perfectly.
Only downside is no restaurant but considering the location it was no problem - plus there is a lobby shop for those âemergenciesâ when you donât want to walk anywhere.
All staff were very kind and service minded.
This was exactly! What I needed! The establishment was decorated beautifully for the Holidays when I walked in! Staff Josie whom I had spoken to on the phone to confirm, was very pleasant and helpful. My room was clean, and spacious. Bed was Sooo comfortable. I utilized the amenities, pool ,(heated) and sauna, and gym, and topped it off with breakfast in the AM! As you can see,,I was very satisfied! Thanks for asking!ð¹
The hotel is quiet and clean. The big bed slept very well. The front desk clerk is warm and welcoming. The hotel shuttle driver is also great! The only regret is that the waiter in the hotel restaurant is very discriminating against the Chinese who do not understand English. On the first day, I ordered two breakfasts. The whole dish was actually fried black-boiled potatoes and bacon. I want to give my opinion, but I canât say it. I hate that I have not learned a foreign language well. The next day, I changed my English-speaking daughter and dad to have breakfast. The same breakfast was served, but the normal food status was up. I still remember the dark two breakfasts, but my heart is still very wrong.
This hotel is very special. The lobby is a bookstore from the English period. It is very cozy and has no commercial flavor. The guests here are also very polite. They come and go quietly or sit there to read. The room is very large, decorated in the French style of the English colonial period, with elegant blue tones. The bathroom is surprisingly large, and the kettle for boiling water is also very unique. I totally recommend friends to stay and experience it. Next to it is the Art Gallery and Yale U, which are within walking distance. Love it!
The hotel was in a great location but it was moldy and amenities were missing from the room, batteries dead in the thermostat, my first room smelled like cigarettes and the carpet was greasy. When I mentioned the state of my room they quickly moved me to another room so that was nice. The most frustrating part about this hotel was the fact that my family members and I asked weeks in advance if we could book rooms on the same floor in the same general area. The hotel agreed but once we arrived they put us on all different floors, opposite sides of the hotel and everything. We tried to make the best of it. My mother and I as well as my cousins met in my aunt's double room daily so we could all be together but a neighboring room made a noise complaint. They would never have had to complain if the hotel had booked all our rooms together as we had requested.
The facilities are a bit old, but the environment and service are good. When I checked out, he asked me enthusiastically and helped me get a cup of hot water. I asked him for hot water the night before.
Location is perfect heart of the city. Just walk by Yale University. Rooms are big and very clean. Bathroom is very clear and complete with all needed amenities. Front desk always very friendly and polite. Itâs my second time living in Omni Hotel New Haven and will choose again for my next trip.
For those who they love nightlife must live here because itâs just cross the road have best nightlife bars and clubs.
Perfect Hotel I Recommend 100%
GGuest UserThis hotel had a big open lobby with a bar and plenty of areas to use laptops or to gather in small groups.
Convenient parking in a garage was located below the hotel. The elevators were extremely efficient. We were on the 8th floor and never waited. The hotel staff is hard to reach by phone but when we arrived they happily let us check into our room a little early. The beds are very comfortable and very high! The tv remote is odd and we had to call to figure out how to use it. Early morning coffee urns were late to arrive. The hotel is very close to I-95 which was helpful.
XXiaoyingziThis hotel offers fantastic value for money. The only minor downside is its distance from the train station, but everything else was excellent and definitely exceeded my expectations. It's only a little over a 20-minute walk to Yale.
GGuest UserThe facility was lackluster at best. It used to be great. Eco friendly was claimed for not doing daily room service. Hypocritical. There were paper plates, plastic serve where, and poorly working HVAC units. Â The organization was simply looking to cut down on costs. Similarly, Iâve seen better breakfasts at hotels that cost half as much. Vents in the bathrooms were nonfunctional. The window could only be closed from the outside. I look forward to posting this on yelp unless you make amends.
PPiermasensiqiangniIt costs $12-13 to take a taxi from the train station. It is within walking distance of Yale University. The check-in service is good. We were given the room at 12 noon. The facilities in the room are a bit old and the toilet is small.
AAnonymous UserFirst checking in, the gentleman was very friendly and kind. After getting settled in the room it was nice. However, you could hear everything going on in the hallway. Upon asking for more towels there were no bath towels left due to being short staffed. Additionally the cleaning staff were exceptionally loud in the morning and had woken me up.
GGuest UserWe were welcomed nicely with two amazing front desk representatives. Received clean and comfy room. It was day before Christmas, and we were told the timing for breakfast . Next morning we found out there no breakfast served at all! Because itâs Christmas!! Itâs like you book the flight , but no flight attendants cuz they are on vocation ð All hotels guests were very confused, no one received any note about it, we were very disappointed because one of the reason we pay more for this hotel -is breakfast, since we were driving with kids. Donât recommend this hotel .
AAnonymous UserThe Hotel Marcel was quite Modern and very aesthetically pleasing! Upon arrival, I could tell this hotel was full of charm and personality. I especially enjoyed my stay in a corner suite with a King bed. The bathroom was very luxurious and I felt as though it was something out of a magazine. Overall, my stay was very comfortable and affordable.
If I had one gripe it would be that the interior of the room was very dim in lighting even when the lights were fully on (touch censored lighting was available). I wish more light was able to be in the room.
GGuest UserThe surrounding environment of the hotel is very good. There are churches and other places to go around. It is within walking distance of the railway station and supermarket. There are also restaurants nearby, and it is not far from New Haven and New York.
