Beach Hotels in Queensland, Australia

Booking online with Trip was simple. The Dorsett have clean rooms and staff are lovely, plus it's attached to the Gold Coast Casino. I was pleasantly surprised that the hotel is equipped for people with disabilities or use a wheelchair. This includes self opening and closing doors, shower and toilet set up with aids that can be pulled out to accommodate needs and there are wheelchair touch buttons for opening the door. I showered before going out and it flooded the bathroom, luckily there were 2 infloor drains. Within 2 mins or asking for maintenance they had a lovely young man up to fix it, then another minute later housekeeping arrived with fresh towels. The maintenance man also gave me a good rundown and recommendations on the restaurant's at the Casino. 2 negatives - 1st, it is hard to work out where to park as you use the Casino parking, the carpark directs you where to go but there is no clear signage on where the hotel lifts are. I only knew this from a past visit over 2yrs ago. This is something that needs sorting out. 2nd, the entrance address for the hotel foyer is actually on the Casino entry side, so you drive around looking for it. I now know that instead of turning off onto The Darling Ave, as gps instructed, you take the slip road before The Darling Ave exit. This takes you past the residential tower and to the front of the hotel

Very close to the main street, just a few minutes walk, very convenient. There is a waiter who speaks some Chinese, very nice! The sea view is not wide enough, the facilities are relatively old, the food is not delicious, maybe it's because of different tastes. The bed smelled at night, fortunately we only booked one night and went to another hotel the next day.

Nice hotel by the sea, but be prepared that the beach in the hotel is just lagoon, the sea beach is a bit far. Great breakfast, nice swimming pool. Clean room. Was nice to see kangaroos

Having previously stayed at the Airline Beach Hotel, this time, with school holidays driving prices through the roof, I decided to give this place a try. First, the positives: While not directly on the main street, there's a bus stop right outside, and a Coles supermarket and a few restaurants are just a few hundred meters' walk away, which makes up for not being in the livelier main area. The staff were also very welcoming. The pool area is beautiful, and on sunny days, the water color is simply delightful. A few things to note: The rooms aren't large, so if room size is a major concern, keep that in mind. They have a rustic, holiday cottage style. One side of the room features a large glass panel, so those who value privacy will need to remember to draw the curtains. For environmental reasons, daily housekeeping isn't typically provided during your stay. If you need fresh towels or anything similar, you can just ask at the front desk.

Perfect place for a family stay! Complete with washing machine and tumble dryer. Products are also provided. Restaurants literally downstairs, walking distance to the scenic railway, cairns central shopping centre, the esplanade etc. we liked our stay so much we wanted to stay longer but unfortunately it was fully booked. We left there and went to stay on reef encounter live aboard. Which you board from literally outside. Keys were easy to drop off and pick up too! Would definitely recommend staying here

I was mostly happy with the resort. There were some things missing like more food options (only two restaurants) and small luxuries like a sauna for example. It’s also hard to rate the staff as you had some incredibly helpful staff and then some real depressing ones that were just rude. The only other thing that was a bit of a shock was that the beaches were just full of dead coral and no sand. I hadn’t been to one of the islands in the Whitsundays so I was surprised to see that. The photos of the resort did not show this so it would have been nice to know so it didn’t lead to disappointment. Some positives though is that the resort was beautifully designed and they offered a lot of free water activities like kayaking for example. The buffet breakfast was also really nice.

We were absolutely delighted with the complimentary room upgrade — such a wonderful surprise that made our stay even more special. This isn’t our first time staying at Crowne Plaza, and once again it reminded us why we keep coming back. The location is excellent, just a 2-minute walk to the tram station, which was especially convenient for me after my recent TKR. Getting around to must-see attractions was effortless, and visiting the SkyPoint Observatory Deck was a highlight. Overall, we were very happy with our stay — so much so that we felt we should have extended an extra night. Highly recommended for comfort, convenience and great service.

Great location, very convenient. It's only a ten-minute walk to Surfers Paradise, and there are plenty of restaurants around, including a 7-Eleven and McDonald's. My roommates were okay; one snored, but that's just luck of the draw, I guess.

A good location for a few night. Pricing is ok and value for money. It' aged and has seen many years, especially bathroom facilities which are not ensuite. At least it is kept clean. Staff at reception is very friendly, but mainly students with no deep and profound knowledge about facility

Mission Reef Resort is located right next to the beach and is the perfect location for a peaceful short break.
