Gulong Stay Review ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5) I recently stayed near Gulong Canyon and had a wonderful experience overall. The area is surrounded by lush green mountains and rivers, so the views are absolutely stunning, especially in the early morning with mist in the valley. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and had a rustic charm that fit the natural setting. The main attraction — the glass bridge and skywalk — was breathtaking (and a little scary if you’re afraid of heights). Staff were friendly and helpful, though English was limited, so having a translation app helped. Local food was fresh and tasty, especially the river fish dishes. One tip: bring comfortable walking shoes and be prepared for some steep climbs. It’s best to visit on weekdays to avoid heavy crowds. Would I come back? Definitely — especially to enjoy more hiking trails and maybe try the zipline next time.

1) This hotel is literally situated on the China-Vietnam border. From my room window, I could see Vietnam, and the front desk even warned me that if I had an iPhone, it might pick up signals from the neighboring country and my time zone could change. The rooftop observation deck offers an even better view of the border scenery, encompassing both Dongxing in China and Mong Cai in Vietnam. 2) When I booked on Trip.com, I specifically requested a non-smoking room, and the hotel front desk truly delivered! The floor and room were genuinely free of any secondhand smoke. Honestly, in a fourth-tier city in (what is arguably the world's number one country for secondhand smoke), this was a rare and pleasant surprise. 3) It's quite close to the Dongxing Port, just a 5-minute walk away. If you want to experience the charm of a border town right from your room, and if you appreciate clean room facilities and fresh, natural air, I would definitely recommend this hotel.

An absolutely amazing stay that exceeded all my expectations! The hotel's location is super convenient, right in the city center with tons of food options downstairs. Several popular 'luosifen' (snail noodle) spots are nearby, and there are plenty of other restaurants and malls in the vicinity, making dining and shopping incredibly easy. The hotel service was meticulous; the front desk staff, especially Coco, was very proactive. The room was clean and tidy, completely consistent with Hyatt's signature style. I will definitely choose this place again next time I'm in town. Highly recommend!

My stay here was absolutely fantastic! The moment I walked into the room, I was soothed by the warm yellow lighting and a subtle, pleasant aroma. The bedding was incredibly soft, like sleeping on a cloud, and I had a wonderful night's sleep. The front desk attendant was incredibly welcoming and even helped me get a room upgrade. The hotel breakfast was also excellent with a great variety. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next visit!

After comparing several hotels, we finally chose this one, and it exceeded our expectations! The value for money is outstanding. Firstly, the location is perfect – peaceful yet central. Just 100 meters to the left is the Twin Pagodas scenic area, and Elephant Trunk Hill is only about 1 km away on foot. What really stood out were the excellent hotel facilities and service quality. My child actually loved staying in the room and napping for two afternoons straight (though adjusting to the time difference after returning home also played a role). My child is very particular about hotel stays, so her satisfaction is rare; in Shanghai, she only stays at The Puli Hotel. The hotel's dining was incredibly impressive. Upon check-in, we received a complimentary local specialty, Beer Fish (valued at 98 yuan). The ingredients were fresh and it was deliciously prepared – fantastic! We ended up ordering all our subsequent meals from the hotel restaurant. I checked, and the hotel restaurant ranks number one locally on Dazhong (Dianping)! Highly recommended! This is the king of value-for-money hotels in Guilin!

Traveling through Baise on my trip to Yunnan, I saw Wyndham in my search results and it looked good, so I booked a king room to share with a friend. It was a bit quiet and empty when we checked in, but all the staff at the front desk were very welcoming and warm. It really brightened up my tiring journey! 😊 They even specifically gave us a room with a great view and location. The room itself was really spacious, and the bed was wide enough for two people to sleep comfortably, and super soft! There's an indoor heated pool and gym on the second floor, both free to use. The only downside is that there's no self-service laundry, but I heard the hotel is planning to add it. If I come back, I hope that service will be available – that would make it perfect! It's also very close to shopping areas. This place is great for a slow-paced, relaxing life. Highly recommend! 🥳

The rooms are comfortable, the location is convenient, and the hygiene inside is impeccable with all the facilities you could need. Our family of three stayed here in Guilin. We booked two nights, and after just one, we decided we'd definitely stay here again on our way back. The service is truly excellent! The front desk staff, both the young men and women, are incredibly friendly and attentive. They proactively showed us to our room, turned on the air conditioning, and even prepared little gifts for our child, including kids' slippers and toothbrushes. They also took the initiative to register our vehicle. Their attention to detail was exceptional. We traveled for nine days, starting from Guilin, going through Yangshuo, Chongzuo, Hechi, Baise, and Liuzhou, and finally returning to Guilin. In each city, we stayed at highly-rated hotels, but this one was by far the best of the entire trip!

I was really satisfied with the hotel I stayed at during this trip. The room was very clean, had no strange smells, and the bed was comfortable, so I slept really well at night. The bathroom had plenty of hot water, which made showering very convenient, and all the toiletries were provided. The front desk staff had a good attitude and check-in was quick. They were also very patient when answering our questions. The location was decent too, making it easy to go out for meals and shopping. The room size was appropriate, with good lighting and ventilation, and the soundproofing was acceptable – I wasn't disturbed by any noise. It offers great value for money, with no hidden fees, making for a worry-free stay. Overall, there were no major downsides, and I would definitely choose to stay here again if I'm ever in the area. I truly recommend it to everyone.

The room directly overlooks the artificial lake, which is absolutely beautiful. If I were to visit again in March or April when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, it would be truly magnificent. The breakfast was also quite enjoyable; I even got to make my own waffles, which were wonderfully fluffy and soft, just like the ones my grandma used to make back home. The environment here is also very relaxing and pleasant.
