I am very pleased for my stay at Semeeset Changchun. The counter staffs are friendly and helpful particularly Miss Moliy Zhou who are attentive. friendly and very helpful and able to provide us details information for first time traveller to Changchun

My overall stay exceeded expectations. The hotel boasts an excellent location with convenient access to transportation. The room was spacious, bright, and very clean, and the bedding was incredibly comfortable. The temperature and humidity inside were just right. The facilities were comprehensive; a soak in the hot springs was incredibly relaxing and helped ease the fatigue after hiking. The service was meticulous, thoughtful, and prompt. I had a very pleasant stay throughout my trip and would give it five stars. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Changbai Mountain. The service was very attentive, and they even gave me a small gift.

This is an excellent hotel with incredibly warm and attentive service! Firstly, it's the closest hotel to the old mountain gate, just a 2-minute walk away, so we didn't have to queue at all during the National Day holiday. Secondly, they offer high-speed rail pick-up and drop-off throughout our stay, and can also take us to nearby attractions. Thirdly, the breakfast was amazing! The restaurant staff were very enthusiastic and proactively asked if we needed anything. The ginseng chicken soup, noodles, dumplings, and wontons were all delicious and plentiful, perfect for us southerners. Fourthly, a dedicated butler was provided. Butler Li Chao was incredibly responsible and always ready to help with anything. Fifthly, all the front desk staff were wonderful. They helped with our luggage and reservations, and the service was exceptional. They even upgraded us to a family room when they saw I was traveling with two elderly family members, which I really appreciate. Sixthly, the hot springs were superb, and we could book them anytime. Seventhly, there's a food court right next door, making dining very convenient. The stone pot bibimbap, stir-fried pork with kimchi, and BBQ were all delicious. Eighthly, the hotel provided complimentary access to the Volcanic Stone Forest attraction, river trekking, and ginseng digging, all of which were a lot of fun and suitable for the whole family. My family had a fantastic time, and we'll definitely stay here again on our next trip to Changbai Mountain.

SONG JIANG BONANZA WINNING HOTEL — From Smoke Signals to Sacred Silence Arrival & First Sniff This old dog finally flopped down in Jilin City, relieved to rest my paws at the grandly named Song Jiang Bonanza Winning Hotel. “Winning,” I thought—until my non-smoking room greeted me with a stale tobacco haze. One whiff and I nearly cancelled the stay on the spot. Room Rescue Cue Mr Hong Dejian—calm, English-speaking, and clutching the keys to redemption. He patiently showed me alternative rooms until we found one that didn’t smell like a poker night. Had I left, I would’ve missed what came next. Comfort Food = Home Dinner delivered a miracle: stewed chicken with potatoes and mushrooms. One bite and—boom—mummy’s cooking. After days on the road, I finally found food in China that tasted like home. Tail wagging resumed. Care Beyond the Call Mr Hong returned with a portable heater, pointed out city landmarks, and even taught me how to take a non-reflective photo (yes, this dog learns fast). His easy friendliness softened the edges of dirty window panes and mostly Mandarin-only staff. I even showed him the ink-black towel after wiping the window—evidence, not barking. Menu Meltdown & A Win At the restaurant, I was handed a Chinese-only menu after saying I don’t speak Mandarin. I hit the roof. To their credit, reception listened: I received a call from the lady boss, and the issue was acknowledged. Then a hero appeared—the restaurant lady, who patiently translated dish names so I could choose lunch and dinner without guesswork. Gold bone earned. City Interlude: Jilin Catholic Church Between meals and meetings, I visited Jilin Catholic Church (吉林耶稣圣心堂)—a quiet pause from hotel hiccups. The church offered a moment of stillness, a reminder that even on a bumpy stay, the city holds pockets of grace. Logistics That Worked Back at the desk, the reception lady manager efficiently arranged my transport to Wusong Island—quick, competent, and reassuring. Breakfast & The Fine Print Breakfast surprised me in the best way: healthy, balanced, a thoughtful mix of local and Western dishes. One final bone to chew—early booking didn’t pay off as prices dropped later. A truly Winning Hotel would honour the lower rate at check-in. Verdict Despite communication bumps, this is a solid winter hideout: good Songhua River views, comforting food, and fast service when it counts. During my stay at the hotel, the service was excellent, especially the concierge, Xiao Hui. He was incredibly helpful, answering all our questions and taking care of every detail – a huge thank you to him! Also, the young lady at the front desk on the night shift on the 19th was very enthusiastic. However, I have to complain about the Chinese restaurant. My dad took my child there and ordered black truffle fried rice and stir-fried beef. I don't know if it was because they ordered too little, but the food never came. When they asked a female server about it, her attitude was extremely dismissive, just saying, ”Just wait!” I'm not sure if she wasn't properly trained or if she was just being selective with customers. Later, they asked a manager, who also couldn't give a definitive answer. In the end, they just ordered takeout to the room. Besides this one issue, everything else was great.

The owner was very hospitable, and there were always drivers available at the entrance who were ready to answer any questions or help with travel plans. The aunties at the hot springs were also very warm and helped with towels. The indoor bath was cleaned daily, and overall, everything was quite good. The only issue was that the toilet wasn't clean upon check-in, but the front desk attendant came quickly to address it. Overall, it was a good experience, and I recommend it.

I'm a british traveller with a Chinese wife. I'm mostly located in China and I speak the language. Hunchun is near to Russia and most of the guests were Russian. Some of the staff can speak a few words of Russian but not much. And no English! The Hotel itself is modern, clean and very technically equipped. The toilet seat is heated, and it flushes itself. The shower took a bit of working out, but once I had mastered it, it was possibly the best shower I'd had in years. The shower is partitioned from the rest of the toilet, which isn't always the case in China. There's an AI person who greets you in Chinese when you enter, but we couldn't work out what the purpose of this was. It didn't understand English and my wife couldn't get a lot of sense out of it in Chinese. But everything else worked, including the curtains which opened and closed remotely. The TV was large and of an excellent quality. The bed was firm, but not hard like some Chinese beds can be, and we slept very comfortably. The breakfast was OK, but nothing special. My wife and I are diabetic, so we avoid sweet things. Although there was plenty of meat, vegetables and eggs to keep us going for the day, there was only sweetened coffee, sweetened milk tea and I think sweetened soy milk, in the drinks machine. We managed to get plain hot water out of the machine, but there was only paper cups provided, which was a disappointment considering the price we'd paid and the excellent standard of everything else. I would suggest a coffee machine and milk available at breakfast, and maybe a hot water urn and some tea bags. And some proper cups! I think a place of such good quality deserves a bit more of a variety of food. It was OK, but not great. Disappointing. For people on a low budget (like we were) one should bear in mind that the location isn't very central and it's a bus ride and a 25 minute walk, from the high speed rail station. Taxis are not very expensive but we don't have much money so we got local buses which are not very frequent. So I consider the location to be the most disappointing aspect of this hotel. Everything else was either fine, or excellent. We would definitely consider going there again in the future. It was also the only hotel that has allowed us the late checkout which I've been promised by Trip.com. Thank you!

This stay exceeded my expectations, and I have to give this hotel a 5-star rating! I especially want to highlight the service and hardware facilities. The front desk staff were very patient during check-in, the process was smooth, and they proactively introduced the hotel amenities and local travel tips. Every staff member we met along the way greeted us warmly, and requests were handled very quickly. The butler was attentive and thoughtful, helping us coordinate solutions while striking the perfect balance without being overly intrusive—it made us feel comfortable and relaxed. The guest room was exceptionally well-maintained, spacious, and meticulously clean. The bedding was soft and clean, the soundproofing was great, and we had a very peaceful sleep at night. The bathroom had stable water pressure, and the toiletries were of high quality. The public areas were kept very tidy, and the breakfast offered a rich variety with fantastic flavors. Overall, it lacks the flashy feel of over-marketing; it's a genuinely high-quality vacation experience. Solid hardware, heartwarming service, and thoughtful touches everywhere. It's perfect for both leisure getaways and short trips. Highly recommended! I will definitely choose to stay here again next time and look forward to my next visit.

The room was spacious, fulfilling my child's wish to sleep on the top bunk. The environment is beautiful, and the aesthetics of all the promotional materials, road signs, and logo designs are top-notch. The complimentary benefits and activities were so numerous we couldn't even use them all. The evening activities were abundant, and the flow of movement was well-planned. Even if we missed a shuttle, they would arrange an alternative vehicle for us. After the last shuttle from the hot springs, you could rent a scooter, and at other times, the shuttle service was very prompt. The shuttle from Songguo Li was always on time as it's the starting point. We only ate at Li Liangui inside the resort; for other meals, we called nearby restaurants that offered free pickup and drop-off, and the food was delicious and affordable. Oh, and when I booked the hotel, rafting wasn't listed as a benefit, but we actually received a complimentary Red Willow Rafting experience. To get to the South Slope, we asked the front desk to arrange a private car, and the driver was reliable and the price fair. Overall, I would recommend Huamei Shengdi to my friends. My only complaint is that there are too few washing machines; we could never get one.

The room was incredibly spacious, which I really appreciated! Especially when the afternoon sun streamed in upon arrival, it felt wonderful. The small bed's mattress was a bit firm but perfectly fine for sleeping. The hot springs were very crowded, so soaking in the room's bathtub was a good alternative. The staff were all very welcoming. The breakfast selection wasn't super extensive, but it depends on your taste; you'll definitely get enough to eat. The only issue was the weak air conditioning in the breakfast area, though the room's AC was excellent. The coffee in the lobby was quite good, worth trying. Parking was convenient, with plenty of space right out front.
