The room was clean and spacious unlike other cheap rooms. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Breakfast amazing and super delicious..
Overall it will kill (win your heart)❤️
We stayed last week for 3 nights - bed breakfast and evening meal. We had a sea view room with balcony. Every member of staff we encountered was friendly, polite & welcoming. The food was top quality - highlights were the hot, freshly cooked buffet breakfast, big fresh croissants and one of the best currys we've ever had (chicken narpiaza). The room was modern, well furnished, clean and very warm (appreciated considering it was freezing outside). The shower temperature could be a bit variable but the power was good. We sometimes got in the pub carpark, sometimes had to use the public one, but at just over a fiver for 24 hours and being just across the road, it wasn't a concern. Highly recommended.
Great base to explore the many sights of Northumberland if you have a car. Excellent service and staff were friendly. Food was good and room was comfortable

Fantastic stay at Doxford. Grounds are beautiful. Spa facilities very good. Breakfast generous and great quality. Spa bath in room deliberately disabled in all rooms which isn't ideal.
Excellent stay in a very clean and comfortable hotel which was well located. Reception staff were very helpful and friendly and went out of their way to give advice on local attractions.

Very Good
We had a one night stay at Linden Hall Hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was good, a very comfortable bed, robes and slippers provided. There was a spa but we didnt have any treatments, the pool was small and busy during the afternoon but quiet early on Sunday morning, there was also a sauna and jacuzzi. The golf course had a practise area and a driving range which were both good. The pub on site was nice and we enjoyed lunch there. Breakfast was good with lots of choice. The countryside surrounding Linden Hall is lovely with some nice walks.
A simply amazing stay. Firstly Ian and his team helped us remedy an error made by Expedia on booking rooms at the Bowes hotel. Really friendly and interpersonal staff along with extensive knowledge of the area and further beyond particularly Hadrian's Wall path along with the Roman Museums and Forts. The food served was amazing aswell, better than some other independent restaurants, also the Thai-cakes are a must try! The room is clean and tidy with a great buffet breakfast to boot, they also make lunch for your journey ahead. If you are staying at Bardon Mill, this is the place to be, just a walk away from the station that connects back to Newcastle. Friendly neighbourhood and locals that shares stories from their journeys and also fellow travellers from around the world mostly doing the Hadrian's Wall walk. I cannot fault this wonderful and cosy hotel and pub that is the Bowes Hotel!
Comfortable room, nice selction of toiletries with pleasant scent. lovely food. Battlesteads was able to accommodate a pet dog ( pet pack also included) . Great selection for brealfast and tasty Ringtons coffee. This was a birthday break so only one night stay , Booked bed and breakfast, decided to add evening meal. The village of Wark is lovely to walk around, cross over bridge to football field one way and dog walk the other, weather helped make the stay as it was warm Autumn sunshine. Saw Grey Heron by the riverbank. Would recommend and would go again.
Lovely place too stay very clean and it’s central too everything right across from train station didn’t have far to walk lovely riverside walks on your door step where u can explore a broken castle very nice views and also lovely veiw from our hotel window too my little girl didn’t want too go home very nice would 100% recommend!!
SShu YiLove the breakfast; and the size of room and attached bathroom. Room cleaninless can be further improved upon (e.g. fallen insects on window sills, dusty fan etc.). Amenities would have been better if there is greater public indoor area (e.g. restaurant/pub area) that is more open/flexible for guests to retreat to over extended hours (e.g. for usage of public wifi to connect to internet). Overall, it's a convenient site for a good night's rest!
It was good but room was not ready so was given a card for two free drinks but had the bar staff charged me for the free drinks ... there was two free bottles of beer in fridge in room but no bottle opener . Plus room was to hot and couldn't coll down much .
Really enjoyed my first stay. Staff were very pleasent. Breakfast was pleantiful and well presented. You must have your own transport as there were no buses. There's too much of a long walk into Alnwick by the A1 mortorway. That's not very pleasent or safe. The only issue I had was with the awlful television (It certainly needs updating) in the Cart Shed accommodation. The hand controller was useless.
Lovely pub style hotel in glorious surroundings. Food is excellent. The rooms are rather small but functional. By the way, if both of you are over 80 kgs, I suggest two beds. As this is Northumberland, you will find the drying room a great find. The brewery bar is really good. Enjoy the Hadrian Wall close by.
Great value for money. Lovely old fashioned hotel. Only slight downside was the room was so hot but we were only there one night so I didn’t raise this with the staff. Breakfast was good and staff all great.
From arriving to leaving everything was amazing! We got a very warm welcome. Our room was perfect with everything we needed. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great......it was an absolutely brilliant 2 nights...... I would definitely recommend Pantile Lodge.
