GGuest UserEl hotel está bastante alejado del centro de Tromsø. La parada de autobús para ir al aeropuerto está a 10 min. Parece poco pero si está nevando y llevas mucho equipaje hay que ir con tiempo porque las cuestas tienen hielo.
Cuando entras, es una maravilla. Han renovado las zonas comunes y es súper bonito.
Pero al entrar en nuestra habitación doble.... No estaba renovada. Es la habitación más pequeña en la que hemos estado en 8 días por la zona. La puerta no está en buenas condiciones. El baño parece de ”un hospital”. Para nuestro gusto la cama y las almohadas son incómodas. Las paredes de la habitación tampoco están en buen estado.
Cuando fuimos a desayunar parecía otro hotel. La cafetería con vistas panorámica era preciosa. Y el desayuno tipo buffet estaba muy rico.
Nos choca bastante la inmensa diferencia que hay entre las zonas comunes y la habitación.

GGuest UserThis hotel offers beautiful views and an excellent location. You can walk straight out to the Polar Adventure for boat trips, and there are many restaurants nearby. Just around the corner, you'll find the main street, making it a fantastic choice. However, you need to book early as prices can get very high later on! My son also loved the table tennis downstairs, playing for at least an hour every evening. 😆

GGuest UserOverall, this was a good stay, especially for a long layover, though there are a few areas that could be improved.
The bedsheets smelled and felt clean, but there were a few random speckles of black dots on two of the blankets that could be removed. It was a small detail, but noticeable enough to affect the overall impression. Rest of the hotel is clean and well-maintained.
The bathroom could also benefit from more hooks or hanging space for towels and clothes.
That said, we booked a room for four adults and it was pleasantly spacious. There was sufficient seating, and it comfortably accommodated two large suitcases plus three smaller ones without feeling cramped. The beds were also very comfortable.
Breakfast was exceptional. There was a wide variety of options—from well-prepared hot dishes to marinated herring and smoked salmon. The selection of pastries was excellent, and beverages included Biola yogurt drinks, juices, and chocolate milk. Everything we tried was of high quality.
There is also free laundry available on the 6th floor, which is a very useful perk for travelers on long journeys.
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Special thanks to Julia for her assistance.

GGuest UserSince it's the off-season here inTromsø in the summer, the cost of staying is much lower than in many other parts of Norway. So, considering the price I paid, my experience at the Dock Hotel far exceeded my expectations in every way. The facilities are among the newest, and the design is rich in textures and shows great attention to detail. The bathroom, in particular, is very spacious. Other than that, I would also say the city itself centers around this hotel because it's the first stop of the bus that goes to the airport, and my guided tour also used this hotel as the meeting point. Overall, my stay was pretty much perfect in every aspect.

TTurkmenbashiAn unpretentious but comfortable hotel in an unbeatable location in central Tromso (the third photo is the view from the hotel window). Highlights include the friendly staff (a shout out here to the ever helpful Petter), tasty and healthy breakfast, and comfortable sitting areas that mean you don't have to hang out in your room.
Given the quality of the hotel it is surprising - and highly annoying - that they don't provide kettles in the room (I even offered to pay a deposit), the more frustrating because some photos on the site show coffee machines: so some rooms do have these facilities. The selection of toiletries is also surprisingly meagre - no shower gel for example, which seems unnecessarily cheapskate. My other gripe is that they need more individual tables in the breakfast room: finding a space at a long table feels reminiscent of youth hostelling...
With these shortcomings noted, the hotel can be recommended and is good value for Tromso.

SScottInShanghaiThis could not have been more convenient for access to the town and also access to the quay. It’s within walking distance of Polaria, the Polar museum and the cathedral.
The breakfast was excellent, and much high-quality than elsewhere during our day. Dinner was included, and while it was unremarkable, it was very welcome!
However, one big drawback was that they refused to clean the room as we were not staying for more than three nights. We understand their commitment to sustainability and the environment, but we saw no real information about that commitment or their policy or how the money that they saved would be disposed of in faith of the environment.

Plus, the hotel offers complimentary breakfast, dinner, and afternoon tea. While the food variety is simple, the portions are generous, making it a fantastic backup. Overall, the services provided by the hotel are practical and understated, truly giving you a feeling of home.

GGuest UserThe room was perfect for what we needed. The view on the balcony of the mountain next to the stream was beautiful. The staff was very helpful as well. Laundry service on site was easy to use and a lot of little trails to takein the area. Would definitely stay here again when we return!

AAnonymous UserWhen I arrived, I found the view from my originally booked room was blocked by external pillars, so I discussed it with the hotel and upgraded to a better room. The hotel breakfast is considered rich and delicious for local standards. It's also conveniently located within walking distance to the city center. I would recommend this hotel if I come again or if friends visit.

SsnoozyharuFront desk service was friendly and upon seeing my membership status, gave us room upgrades. Though the room was clean and modern, the bathroom is in desperate need of an upgrade. The bathtub has what looks like years of yellow staining, showerhead from the 80s, hairdryer would struggle drying writing on paper. The fact there were no photos anywhere of the bathroom means they know exactly what I'm on about. Would not stay again purely because of it.
