Everything was perfect, from the smiling front desk staff to the restaurant team. A big thank you to the hotel manager for such impeccable service.
The location is ideal, close to the metro with plenty of shops nearby. The rooms are clean, spacious, and well-equipped.
The breakfast is excellent, with a huge variety of sweet and savory options.
Thank you for everything; I will definitely return to this hotel without hesitation.
The hotel staff were incredibly welcoming every day, and the breakfast team always greeted us with a friendly smile. Besides the standard breakfast items, they also offered several egg dishes, which was a nice touch. Our room was super comfortable, and the bed was so plush we just melted into sleep. We also had turn-down service every day, complete with two chocolates! We'd informed them beforehand that we were celebrating our anniversary, and the hotel surprised us with a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine – such a thoughtful gesture! You won't regret choosing this hotel if you're visiting Porto.
The hotel's location is superb, right in the historic center. You step out and see the blue and white porcelain chapel, and almost all city attractions are within walking distance. Breakfast is also plentiful, with fruits, vegetables, various pastries, and meats. The room is comfortable and quite spacious. The lobby has an industrial design, which is very creative.
Nice and convenient small hotel. Quite simple but confortable room and very good bed and pillows; good internet and very good shower and separate WC and washing basin. 10 minutes walk to the airport . Highly recommended. Thank you
Good location.
Good spread of food for breakfast.
Reception staff are courteous.
Room is dated. Air-con cannot be adjusted to warm.
Bathroom exhaust not working resulting in the dampness through. Showering in bathtub resulted in water splashing on floor as the shower partition is not effective. The hairdryer needs to be replaced as the auto shutoff comes on too quickly. The inner bottom of bathroom door has rotted.
Time to renovate and refresh the room and bathroom if you wish to command a “Premium Hotel” status.
Business hotel that lack the human touch. Recep was cold and not smiling, which was a pity for such a nice hotel. Phone auto buttons not working and aircon not working too. Had to walk to recep and ask for help. Breakfast was good though
I stayed at this hotel for one night as a quick stopover, and it was perfect for my needs. The hotel is situated right across from the beautiful Crystal Palace Garden and is easily walkable to numerous great local spots. I was also impressed by the staff's thoughtfulness. They proactively sent me a list of recommended local eateries and quickly responded to my questions before I arrived. My room was comfortable and well-equipped. I appreciated having an adjustable air conditioner and a nice, hot shower. They also provided free snacks, a coffee machine, and thoughtful additions like books and board games in the common area.
It is important to know that this is a renovated building that preserves its original features. While this adds to its charm, it means there is no elevator. I was lucky to book a ground-floor room, which I strongly recommend if mobility is an issue or if you have heavy luggage. As is common with older architecture, the sound insulation isn't the best. I didn't find it overly bothersome in my room, but sensitive sleepers should be aware.
In my opinion the hotel offers excellent value for money and a genuine experience.
Ficámos muito agradados com a nossa estadia. Limpeza impecável, hotel acolhedor, ambiente jovem e confortável.
Facilidade na marcação e no check in online.
Situated on the edge of a touristy district, but near areas that felt more authentic and lived in by locals. They were very nice at the desk. We were happy the room had a fridge and coffee machine. The design and colors were pleasing and the bed was comfortable. I would stay here again with my husband, but opt for a larger room next time. The room was cramped. Coat hooks near the door would have been useful.

AAnonymous UserThe hostel is in a perfect location being right in the centre of Porto. The room and bed are decent. There are two bathrooms with shower in a room so it’s pretty nice. However, there is almost no water coming out from one of the shower and got some insect bites sleeping here ;( things are pretty great besides tha
SSoheil MalekiI would have loved to have given this place 5/5 stars for everything but as soon as we arrived, the noise from outside was very loud, upon bringing it to the attention of the staff, they said they ”fixed the door” as it was a very large patio door but the sound was still as if we were camping outside. I managed to live with this but the rooms television was also boy possible to connect any outside devices and the Netflix just wouldn't launch which we were told it is what it is with the TV. The thing that annoyed me the most was the fact that you have to pay to use the swimming pool that they so elegantly advertise in their photos. As an extremely regular traveller, this was an absolute first for me and really didn't make any sense to me. Otherwise the place was clean, and looked very nice. Parking was 20 euros per night which was actually more expensive than hiring the car but I guess they charge for location.
MMar4MorAn amazing hotel! I was so impressed with the decor and the cleanliness and above all... the staff! They were pleasant, accomodating and even gave us an upgrade which was just incredible! I want to especially thank the following wonderful staff members who made our 1 night stay so special... they should be commended for their HIGH CUSTOMER ORIENTED persona! Very rare to find these days. The people I would like to thank are: Debouc, Fernando, Andre and Joao! Absolutely wonder human beings who treat customers with respect and dignity! I fould this hotel along with another one in Cascais to be TOP NOTCH when it came to hospitality! I would MOST DEFINITELY recommend this hotel to everyone I know. I pray these folks are recognized for their outstanding customer relations and hospitality! Impeccable to say the least! They deserve a raise!
Thank you to you all! Maria and Reinaldo Morais
GGuest UserLast year I had the most wonderful stay at Menina Colina, and was excited to return. Unfortunately I now wish I had reserved elsewhere, as it has been nothing but a disappointment.
Prices are so much higher than a year ago, but I thought I got what was a good deal on the garden room. Turns out it is greatly overpriced for what is offered, as it has none of the exquisite design or attention to detail that the interior rooms have. It also seems to be neglected in terms of maintenance. The coffee machine was leaking, and after reporting it, it was made out to be my fault as I was using it incorrectly. I had to physically show a member of staff the leaked water for them to agree to replace it. I was really annoyed that they felt that they needed to demonstrate to me how it works rather than just replacing it immediately.
The next disappointment was that the room was initially not serviced at all, and no explanation was given. When you are paying $165 for a mediocre room (not even including breakfast), one would at the very least expect the bins to be emptied.
The bathroom also had a terrible smell that permeated the room, and mosquitoes were a problem too.
Management did offer me lunch or attendance of their fado show, but none of these arrangements fitted into my busy programme. I thought a small financial compensation would have made more sense. That did not happen, and nothing further was mentioned or discussed on check-out.
The final issue was the online check-out which they require. When I tried to complete it, my bill was for my entire stay, although 3 of the 4 nights had already been paid months in advance. So my conclusion is unfortunately that Menina Colina’s standards have dropped significantly, and that it is overpriced for the lack of attention to detail that is evident in several areas.
GGuest UserThis was not the first time I've been at this hotel. It's a nice place to spend a few nights. The breakfast food is good in terms of variety and the staff is nice and helpful. The spa is always a pleasant place for you to relax. However, the buttons of the jets don't work properly, specially the ones that are only accessible when you are in the pool, which can be frustrating if you like to use them and won't be able to. This time, the sauna was out of work, as well, but they were fixing it. They didn't really seem worried about fixing the jets' buttons, though... When I was at the hotel last year, they weren't already working properly, but now I couldn't even get them to work. The ones that would work, wouldn't be active for a long time after you pressed on them. In other Spas, they usually work for a few minutes when you turn them on. In this one, they would only be active for about 20/30 seconds at a time. The room I stayed in, had a different display. You would go through a corridor with the bathroom at the front and on the left you had the sleeping area. I liked it because it would conceal the noises coming from the outside a bit better. All rooms have a balcony, but something that feels that is always missing are a couple of chairs and a table. The balcony becomes useless without them! I couldn't open the bathroom door well (not even in 90 degrees in relation to the entrance) because it would bump on the bidet. Also, the shower and glass covering the bathtub seemed to be at the wrong wall because it was inevitable to wet the entire toilet when you showered. The corners were a bit dusty and the bathroom bin hasn't been changed from the previous guest. I think the cleanliness can be improved.
UUrban VoyagerWe had a wonderful stay at Eurostars Aliados in Porto. While advertised as a 5-star hotel, it feels more like a high-end 4-star, mainly because it lacks some of the extra touches of luxury and service you’d expect from a top-tier 5-star experience. That said, it still offers great value for money and an excellent stay.
One of the hotel’s strongest points is its location—right in the heart of Porto, making it easy to explore the city on foot. Despite being so central, the room was quiet and well-insulated, allowing for a great night’s sleep.
Check-in was smooth and efficient, with friendly and professional staff who made us feel welcome right away. Throughout our stay, the staff remained courteous and helpful, ensuring a pleasant experience.
Our room was spacious, stylish, and very comfortable, featuring a king-sized bed, elegant decor, and a huge shower that added a touch of indulgence. Everything was spotlessly clean, which is always a priority when choosing a hotel.
The hotel has a spa with a gym, sauna, and hammam, free for guests. While we didn’t have time to use them, they looked modern, well-maintained, and inviting, adding to the hotel’s appeal.
Overall, Eurostars Aliados delivers a stylish and comfortable stay at a reasonable price. While it may not quite reach the level of a true 5-star experience, it’s an excellent option for those looking for a high-quality hotel in the center of Porto. We would definitely stay here again!
GGuest UserOverall very satisfied. The room is fully equipped and clean. The washbasin is very unique, and the wet and dry bathrooms are separated. From the hotel lobby, you can walk directly to the food court next door. Next to it is the bus station, and the taxi station is a five-minute walk away. It takes at least half an hour to walk to the attractions, so it is recommended to take a taxi.
TTimothy K T LiuGood and friendly hotel at the right location to facilities. Many restaurants nearby for dining. River cruise is within walking distance. Hotel is small but provides full gacilities. Staff are friendly and helpful.
죤죤죵It's a 5-minute walk from both São Bento and Trinidadé stations, making it convenient for those traveling by plane or train. It's an apartment-style accommodation, not a hotel. The living room has a large double bed and a sofa, and the kitchen and bathroom are separate. There's a dining table and most cooking utensils (toaster, dishes, pots, coffee maker, etc.) so it's great for cooking! Many accommodations in older buildings in the city center don't have elevators, but this one does! The hot water is also excellent. Check-in and check-out are both online, so there's no reception. There are lockers in the lobby, so I was able to leave my luggage after check-out and go explore the city for a bit, which was nice.
