AAnonymous UserIf you are in the area to visit the KKIP industrial zone, the Klagen Regency is perfectly positioned. It is located quite a distance from the main town center, which may seem remote at first, but it is a strategic advantage if you want to avoid a long daily commute to your work sites.
The hotel itself is impressively well-kept. It’s clear that management prioritizes maintenance, as the rooms and common areas feel fresh and clean. The service is equally commendable; the staff are helpful and ensure a smooth, professional experience from check-in to check-out.
Sorry I does not have the photo of the room because I am there for a business meeting but the room is okay to stay. Buffet Breakfast is good, also you can find very nice local food with walking distance .
DDainiqubianquanshijieLet me talk about some aspects beyond the rooms. Even after checking out, if your flight is in the evening, the hotel still provides an exclusive area for showering, getting water, charging devices, and resting. The facilities are comprehensive and clean. The family-friendly amenities are incredibly well-equipped, featuring three large water slides, a kids' slide, and water spray equipment. There's also children's bowling, bubble shows, character interactions, and much more, with different activities every day. They also offer some paid activities for children. The adult and children's pools are well-separated. I had hoped to see the bonfire show, but it was unfortunately canceled due to the weather. For sunset views, you can simply watch from the hotel. The hotel has various restaurants, where you can enjoy a buffet or à la carte dinner. I do hope they can manage the insects in the restaurants, as there were flies during breakfast.
MM58361****I think the hotel, though a bit old, is very well-managed. The breakfast is delicious, and for the price, it offers great value for money. My stay felt clean and comfortable.
SStevendingThere's road construction downstairs, which made the hotel feel more like a standard domestic inn. The upside is it's right next to a large mall, so shopping is convenient. Everything else was just so-so, including the sea view, which was also mediocre, and the windows were dirty, obscuring the view.

AAllenYenThe service at Shangri-La is simply beyond words, from the attentive care before check-in to the complimentary drinks offered while waiting to check out – it's truly a super five-star service experience! A fantastic stay! The absolute highlight is the free shuttle bus service. You can take it from the hotel to the airport, as well as to IMAGO Mall and Suria Sabah Shopping Mall in downtown Kota Kinabalu, all for free. This is a huge plus! Although the hotel's location is a bit far from the city center, the free shuttle completely solves this issue, perfectly addressing guests' transportation needs. Superb!
WWangconglongThis was my third time staying at the Kaseh Hotel in Kota Kinabalu, and I brought my mother along for a trip. As always, the stay was incredibly satisfying!
Service: The front desk staff were warm and helpful, offering check-in services in both Chinese and English. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and plentiful, with a wide variety of dishes that my mother particularly enjoyed. When cleaning the room, they always replenished necessary disposable items and even helped tidy up clothes on the bed and toiletries in the bathroom, which was very thoughtful.
Cleanliness: The hotel was clean and tidy, with daily room cleaning service.
Environment: The location is extremely convenient. Taking a Grab to city attractions is always within a ten-minute drive, making it easy to get to Sutera Harbour for island hopping and Gaya Street. There are also many restaurants and convenience stores nearby. It's only about a ten-minute Grab ride from the airport, so there's no need to wake up extra early to catch a flight. Getting around to and from the hotel is very convenient.
Facilities: As always, the facilities are complete. You can take hotel towels with you for island hopping and snorkeling, just remember to return them. There are plenty of drying racks, perfect for hanging clothes. There's also an outdoor swimming pool.
Hope to see Kota Kinabalu again next time!

TTingzaibitandexiaochuanArrived on a late-night flight, and it was a 15-minute taxi ride from the airport.
The hotel is quite clean, but the decor is really outdated.
Since we arrived late, they only offered us a corner room. We disagreed, and after a long back-and-forth, they still wouldn't budge. We then contacted Trip.com, who communicated with the hotel on our behalf, and they finally agreed to give us a room in the middle of the floor with the same room type. Clearly, they had other rooms available but just didn't want to give them to us.
The location of the old Hyatt is excellent, getting anywhere is super convenient.

Very Good
AAnonymous UserThe hotel was clean and well-maintained, and the sea-view room offered beautiful views. However, the room faced a busy street, resulting in significant noise from motorcycles and traffic, which affected the overall stay. Another downside was the elevator outage. After a long wait, I had to walk down 19 floors using the stairs. The hotel could have addressed the issue more quickly to minimize the inconvenience and impact on guests.

AAnonymous UserOverall, it was pretty good. My take on Kota Kinabalu: sunsets are free, but a sea-view room isn't. However, it's worth it. I stayed at the Kota Kinabalu Seaview Hotel for three days and was completely captivated by the sunrises and sunsets. This sense of relaxation is the true essence of a vacation. Who says you have to brave the crowds to see one of the world's top 3 sunsets? I watched it right from my hotel balcony.

GGongsungongzi886The exterior architecture and the room experience on the fifth floor were decent, though some plants looked a bit withered. The sand was incredibly fine and the scenery beautiful. The food was acceptable; the chicken wings at the sunset restaurant were good, but perhaps not marinated properly, on par with Sbarro quality. The hotel staff were very nice. It's especially suitable for a relaxing stay and for taking photos; it has an old money vibe.
